A delivery device includes a base body having an outlet opening and a chamber for receiving a flowable substance to be administered. The base body, having first and second film portions attached to each other by a connection with a plurality of regions, being configured to discharge the substance through the outlet opening by compressing the chamber. The delivery device further includes a pouring adapter tightly connected to the outlet opening. The plurality of regions of the connection include a more resilient region and a less resilient region that are arranged between the chamber and the outlet opening. When the chamber is compressed to discharge the substance through the outlet opening, the less resilient region is configured to come undone and the more resilient region is configured to remain connected so that the substance can be discharged solely through the outlet opening and the pouring adapter by compressing the chamber.

Delivery system for in situ forming foams and methods of using the same

Delivery systems for in situ forming foam formulations are provided. The devices may include various actuation mechanisms and may entrain air into fluid formulation components in a variety of ways, including mixing with air and the addition of compressed gas.

INFUSION MANAGEMENT PLATFORM WITH INFUSION DATA GROUPING LOGIC
20200194105 · 2020-06-18 ·

An infusion management platform can determine, based on one or more infusion events, whether to group infusions or segments of infusions. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

Package for infusion set

In the context of a package for sealing an infusion set therewithin, the present invention causes a plurality of illustrations in which elements and colors thereof which appear in a story, verse, or lyric of a song or nursery rhyme are depicted in images in order of appearance therein, the respective images being displayed on a surface of the package in order from frontmost to backmost in mutually offset and partially overlapping fashion, such that it is possible to extremely naturally and without difficulty grasp the colors and the order thereof, i.e., the order of administration, as a result of which it is possible to effectively prevent misidentification of administration procedure during use of the infusion set. Furthermore, by further causing numbers indicating order of administration to be displayed at the respective colored illustrations, the order of use of the respective sets of infusions in the infusion set can be linked to colors and definitively recognized, making it possible to greatly reduce the likelihood of occurrence of human error.

Device for transferring a fluid
10682457 · 2020-06-16 · ·

A device for transferring a fluid has a main channel, at least one secondary channel leading at an opening into the main channel, and a flexible closing element for closing the secondary channel. The opening of the secondary channel can be closed in a fluid-tight manner by the flexible closing element, by pressing the closing element with an external force onto or into the opening. In order to prevent that, in the case of a negative pressure in the main channel, the flexible closing element closes the secondary channel even without application of an external force, at least one projection is associated with the or each secondary channel and arranged in the main channel in the area of the opening of the respective secondary channel, and protrudes over the opening or over a lowest level of the opening.

Medical Syringe System with Filtered Filling Port

A syringe system includes a syringe and a filtration device connected to the syringe for sterilizing and introducing fluid into the syringe. The syringe includes a syringe barrel having a proximal end defining a barrel opening, a distal end defining a delivery opening, a bore extending between the proximal end and the distal end, and a stopper disposed in the bore of the syringe barrel. The filtration device has an inlet and an outlet coupled in fluid communication with the delivery opening at the distal end of the syringe barrel. The filtration device includes a stem and a filter membrane disposed in line with the stem. The filter membrane optionally has a plurality of pores each with a nominal pore size in a range of approximately 0.1 m to approximately 0.5 m such that a pharmaceutical fluid can be introduced as a sterilized pharmaceutical fluid into the bore of the syringe barrel by passing through the filtration device.

METHODS FOR TREATING CONGENITAL HYPERINSULINISM

A method of treating congenital hyperinsulinism in a subject is disclosed. The method can include parenterally administering to the subject a first composition comprising a glucagon, a glucagon analogue, or a salt form of either thereof, and optionally administering to the subject a second composition comprising glucose, a glucose analogue, or a salt form of either thereof, wherein administration of the first composition sufficiently increases blood glucose level in the subject such that the second composition is not administered or the second composition is administered at a glucose infusion rate (GIR) of less than 8 mg/(kg*min).
