The pump system comprises, on the one hand, a pump having a pump housing containing a pump piston and a valve piston and, on the other hand, a pump drive comprising a piston motor and a valve motor for driving the pump piston and the valve piston independently from each other through a first and a second transmission. The drug delivery device comprises a transdermal delivery system having a needle actuation mechanism configured for transdermal insertion of a cannula.

DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A SUBSTANCE
20190351143 · 2019-11-21 ·

A device (1) for dispensing a substance to a patient comprising a cylindrical first container (2) containing the substance and a second container (3) containing a liquid. The device further comprises an injection device (4) and transfer mechanism (5) for transferring the liquid from the second container (3) to the first container (2) and from the first container (2) to the injection device (4). The first container (2) has a connection element (7) and a plunger (9) that can be moved between the first (6) and second ends (8). By moving the plunger (9) towards the first end (6), liquid contained therein can be dispensed via the injection device (4). The injection device (4) comprises a piercing cannula (15) and an indwelling cannula (16). In an initial position, a distal end region of the piercing cannula (15) extends coaxially in the interior of the indwelling cannula (16).

VALVE AND A METHOD FOR ADMINISTERING A PLURALITY OF DRUG FLUIDS
20190328961 · 2019-10-31 · ·

A valve and a method for administering a plurality of drug fluids to a patient are disclosed. For each drug fluid, the valve may be rotated into a selected drug position associated with the drug fluid. With the valve being in the selected drug position, a backpriming may be performed of a connector line of a drug container containing the drug fluid. Thereafter, the drug fluid may be administered with the valve being in the same selected drug position. Thereafter, the valve may be flushed, optionally while maintaining the same selected valve position.

INTEGRATED STRONTIUM-RUBIDIUM RADIOISOTOPE INFUSION SYSTEMS

Methods for setting up, maintaining and operating a radiopharmaceutical infusion system, that includes a radioisotope generator, are facilitated by a computer of the system. The computer may include pre-programmed instructions and a computer interface, for interaction with a user of the system, for example, in order to track contained volumes of eluant and/or eluate, and/or to track time from completion of an elution performed by the system, and/or to calculate one or more system and/or injection parameters for quality control, and/or to perform purges of the system, and/or to facilitate diagnostic imaging.

PASSIVE RESTART Y-SITE
20190275244 · 2019-09-12 ·

A fluid delivery Y-site is described that is configured to receive and control delivery of two or more fluid flows. Fluid flow is controlled within a chamber by a valve and float. Flow of a primary fluid into the chamber is reduced or halted by the movement of a valve. The valve may occlude a first flow port into the chamber in response fluid flowing from a second flow port into the chamber. A float is moveably disposed within the chamber and configured to engage the valve in response a fluid flow into the chamber from the second flow port. As fluid flow from the second flow port into the chamber is reduced or ceases, the valve and float allow the flow from the primary flow port to once again enter the chamber and exit from an outlet port.

Unified drug mixer and dispenser

A unified dispenser for holding, mixing, and dispensing a drug includes a housing holding a diluent reservoir, a drug reservoir, and a tubing set connecting and defining a fluid communication path therebetween. A first occlusion is at the diluent reservoir, and a second occlusion is at the drug reservoir. In a storage state of the dispenser, the first and second occlusions are entirely encased within the housing and occlude the fluid communication path. First and second pull assemblies extend outside the housing. The first and second pull assemblies are coupled to the first and second occlusions, respectively, so that removal of the first and second pull assemblies removes the first and second occlusions and joins the diluent reservoir to the drug reservoir in fluid communication through the tubing set, thereby arranging the dispenser from the storage state to a use state.

CONTAINER HOLDER WITH A TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE FOR AN INJECTOR
20190255261 · 2019-08-22 · ·

A container holder for an injector for injecting a fluid into the human or animal body includes at least one container clamping member for clamping onto a container that is filled with the fluid and a temperature control device for bringing the temperature of the container to a predefined temperature. To be able to clamp containers of different shapes and sizes onto the container holder and to bring the temperature of the containers to a desired temperature without any thermal loss, by means of the temperature control device, and to ensure easy and unimpeded clamping and removal of the container, the temperature control device is connected to a transporting device, by means of which the temperature control device can be brought into and out of thermal contact with the container that is clamped onto the container clamping member.

Infusion procedure for enhancing image quality

Disclosed are methods of radioisotope infusion comprising infusing saline comprising a diagnostic dose of a radioisotope, and delivering a pre-measured volume of push saline. The disclosed methods confer improved image quality with low background noise, higher signal to noise ratio (SNR) and higher contrast to noise ratio (CNR), leading to better diagnosis and thus eliminating the need of repeating the infusion and imaging which in turn reduces exposure of a patient to radiation.
