IV pole clamp
The IV pole clamp is a mechanical structure. The IV pole clamp is configured for use with an IV pole. The IV pole is a prism-shaped post structure used to elevate an IV bag. The IV bag is elevated such that a pharmacologically active media can be gravity fed into the patient. The IV pole clamp attaches the IV pole to a mounting surface such as a counter. The IV pole clamp is a rotating structure such that the cant between the center axis of the IV pole and the force of gravity is adjustable. The IV pole clamp comprises a pedestal structure, a stanchion, and a clamp structure. The pedestal structure and the clamp structure attach to the stanchion. The pedestal structure attaches the stanchion to the mounting surface. The clamp structure attaches the IV pole to the stanchion.
RELOCATABLE POWER TAP HAVING INTEGRATED CURRENT MONITOR
A medical electrical equipment power tap has multiple sockets and a power cord with a maximum current rating. The power tap includes a display to indicate information related to an instantaneous current draw of the power tap. The power tap also includes an electrical circuit which determines whether the instantaneous current draw exceeds a predetermined maximum allowed current which is less than the maximum current rating. The display provides a visual indication when the power tap's current draw exceeds the maximum allowed value, signifying that at least one item of medical electrical equipment should be unplugged from the power tap. The electrical circuit includes a current loop which passes through a structural portion of the power tap's housing for independently gauging the instantaneous current draw using a clamp probe.
PORTABLE RETRACTING DEVICE FOR MEDICAL TUBING MANAGEMENT
A portable retracting device for medical tubing management includes a housing. The housing includes a retractable cord disposed within the housing, wherein the retractable cord is configured to extend from a side of the housing. The device includes a first spring clamp configured to attach to clothing of an individual, a second spring clamp configured to clamp to the medical tube having a first diameter at a first location of the first medical tube, and a third spring clamp coupled to an end of the retractable cord configured to clamp the medical tube at a second location of the first medical tube to form a first loop in the first medical tube from the first location of the first medical tube to the second location of the first medical tube.
INTRAVENOUS FLUID BAG HOLDER
An intravenous (IV) fluid bag hanger is described for use in an ambulance or other emergency vehicle. A handle is configured to pivot or rotate between storage and deployed positions. The fluid bag hanger includes a double-sided carabiner. The double-sided carabiner includes a first holding region and a second holding region to hold one or more intravenous fluid bags. The double-sided carabiner forms a hub between the first holding region and the second holding region. An axle of the handle rotates in the hub.
Peritoneal dialysis machine
A peritoneal dialysis machine has at least one mount for fixing one or more sections of a hose set for conducting a dialysis solution from and/or to a patient. A first pivot axle is provided about which the mount can be pivoted from a first position into a second position.
SYRINGE PUMP, AND RELATED METHOD AND SYSTEM
A syringe pump includes a lead screw, a cam, and a grasper. The grasper assembly has first and second graspers arms each having a first end and a second end. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the lead screw. The first ends of the first and second grasper arms are configured to engage with the cam such that actuation of the cam toward the grasper assembly causes the second ends of the first and second grasper arms to pivotally approach each other. The second ends of the first and second grasper arms each includes threads to engage the lead screw when the second ends of the first and second grasper arms approach each other. The plunger head coupled to said grasper assembly and operative to drive a plunger of a syringe into a barrel of said syringe.
PORTABLE COLLAPSIBLE AIR ISOLATION APPARATUS
A collapsible air isolation apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may include a collapsible frame including a base and a set of rigid panel elements at least partially enclosing a volume of space, where the set of rigid panel elements is foldably hinged to at least one of the base or another of the rigid panel elements, and where at least one panel of the set of rigid panel elements comprises an open space for mounting a motor for moving air. The apparatus may include the motor for moving air configured to create a negative pressure within the volume of space of the collapsible frame.
INTEGRATED MULTI-MEDICATION TREATMENT DELIVERY SYSTEM
Treatment delivery apparatuses include a treatment administration device, a multi-lumen catheter reversibly couplable with the treatment administration device, and a controller. The treatment administration device has a housing cartridge-pump interfaces disposed within the housing, each cartridge-pump interface being reversibly couplable with a medication cartridge type. The treatment administration device further includes pumps disposed within the housing, each pump being in fluidic connection with at least one cartridge-pump interface. The controller enables the treatment administration device to: receive a treatment selection, determine available medications based upon medication cartridges coupled with the cartridge-pump interfaces, and administer a treatment to the multi-lumen catheter, based at least upon the treatment selection.
Medical device stabilizing apparatus and method of use
The present disclosure provides a stabilizing unit for a medical device. The stabilizing unit includes a retaining arm having a surface configured to abut a surface of the medical device. The stabilizing unit also includes a stabilizing fork having a slot configured to receive the medical device. A biasing member is in contact with the stabilizing fork and is configured to urge the slot of the stabilizing fork towards the retaining arm. When the medical device is placed in the slot of the stabilizing fork, the basing member urges the stabilizing fork against an adjacent surface of the medical device, and an opposing surface of the medical device against the retaining arm.
Thermal management system and method for medical devices
A medical device includes a housing, a power supply, a thermally conductive mounting clamp, a heat shield, and at least one fastener. The housing includes a handle. The power supply is disposed within the housing. The thermally conductive mounting clamp is attached to an outer surface of the housing. The heat shield is disposed within the housing adjacent to the power supply. The heat shield is disposed against at least one interior surface of the handle. The at least one fastener passes through at least one opening in the housing and is in thermally conductive contact with the thermally conductive mounting clamp. Heat generated by the power supply is configured to dissipate from the power supply, through the heat shield, through the at least one fastener, and into the thermally conductive mounting clamp.
