MEDICAL INFUSION SYSTEM
A medical infusion system includes a hose line with a distal end region for connection to an infusion reservoir and a proximal end region that has a patient connection port. The patient connection port has a closure device with an air-permeable and liquid-tight design. The system can be used in the medical sector for intravenous medication.
Therapeutic Fluid Dispenser Holder
A therapeutic fluid dispenser holder for holding and orienting a bottle for administering fluids to an animal. The therapeutic fluid dispenser holder comprises a sleeve and a hanging line. The sleeve comprises a lower portion having a lower diameter and an upper portion having an upper diameter. The sleeve comprises a sleeve aperture with an outer wall and between an open upper end and an open lower end. The hanging line attaches to a portion of the sleeve and is configured to suspend the therapeutic fluid dispenser holder on an overhead fastener. The outer wall of the sleeve comprises a vertical slot extending from the upper diameter to the lower diameter.
HINGED BLINDING SHELL FOR HANGING A VIAL AND RELATED METHODS
A vial blinding assembly includes a vial having a stopper with a needle penetrable septum that is aligned with a compartment of the vial. A blinding shell has an interior surface that bounds a cavity, the vial being disposed within the cavity. The blinding shell includes: an encircling sidewall extending between a first end and an opposing second end; a shield wall inwardly projecting from the first end of the sidewall and encircling an access opening, the access opening communicating with the cavity of the blinding shell and being aligned with the septum of the stopper; and a floor inwardly projecting from the second end of the sidewall so as to block access to the cavity at the second end, wherein the blinding shell comprises a first shell portion and a second shell portion that are hingedly coupled together. In one embodiment, a hanging tab outwardly projects from the floor of the blinding shall and has a mounting hole extending therethrough.
TRANSFER DEVICE DOCKING INDICATOR
A transfer device can include a housing including first and second docking cups, each of the first and second docking cups configured to receive and lockably engage a receiver of a transfer system; a security mechanism positioned inside the housing, the security mechanism including: first and second security levers; a first biasing member engaged with the first security lever and configured to bias the first security lever towards engagement with the receiver; and a second biasing member engaged with the second security lever and configured to bias the second security lever towards engagement with the receiver; and an indicator coupled to the security mechanism and at least partially visible from outside the housing, the indicator configured to indicate to a user of the transfer system whether the receiver is lockably engaged with one of the first and second docking cups.
TRANSFER DEVICE DOCKING INDICATOR
A transfer system can include a receiver; and a transfer device including: a housing comprising a first docking cup and a second docking cup, each of the first docking cup and the second docking cup configured to receive and lockably engage the receiver; a security mechanism positioned inside the housing and configured to engage with the receiver through either of the first docking cup and the second docking cup; and a pair of indicators coupled to the security mechanism and at least partially visible from outside the housing, each of the pair of indicators configured to indicate to a user of the transfer system that the receiver has been lockably engaged with one of the first docking cup and the second docking cup.
APPARATUS FOR INFUSING FLUID
A pump for pumping fluid includes a tube platen, a plunger, a bias member, inlet and outlet valves, an actuator mechanism, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger is configured for actuation toward and away from the infusion-tube when the tube platen is disposed opposite to the plunger. The tube platen can hold an intravenous infusion tube. The bias member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tube platen.
Bottle holder for a syringe
A bottle holder for a syringe includes a stop surface, a piercing hollow spike protruding beyond the stop surface, a guideway, and a first and a second clamping element. Each clamping element includes a through-hole and is moveable back and forth between an insertion position and a clamping position. When the clamping elements are in the insertion position, a neck of the bottle can be moved through the through-holes until the front end of the bottle abuts against the stop surface such that the piercing hollow spike pierces a film at the front end of the bottle. At least one of the clamping elements in its clamping position presses against the neck of the bottle in order to clamp the bottle in the holder.
Autonomous accessory support for transporting a medical accessory
An autonomous accessory support and system for transporting a medical accessory for delivering therapy that is coupled to a patient via a medical line. The autonomous accessory support comprises an accessory post for supporting the medical accessory. A movement module supports the accessory post for moving the accessory post relative to the patient. A tracking module is configured to track movement of the patient or a patient support apparatus relative to the autonomous accessory support and provide a tracking input signal. A controller is in electronic communication with the movement module and the tracking module. The controller controls the movement module to reduce actual patient proximity to a target patient proximity being a distance between the accessory support and the patient or the patient support apparatus sufficient to prevent tensioning of the medical line beyond a tension threshold. The distance may be a selectable preset distance maintained by the controller.
Device for extracorporeal blood treatment comprising an improved arrangement of a blood treatment device
A device for extracorporeal blood treatment, in particular a dialysis device, including an internal fluidic system for a treatment liquid, in particular for a dialysis liquid, the internal fluidic system having at least two liquid connectors for connecting a substantially cylindrical filter element, in particular a dialyzer, to the internal fluidic system for passing a treatment liquid through the filter element, and including a mounting for exchangeably holding the filter element in such a way that the filter element can be connected to the liquid connectors of the internal fluidic system and to an extracorporeal blood line in an intended manner, wherein the mounting for holding the filter element is designed in such a way that a cylinder longitudinal axis of the filter element is substantially horizontally aligned.
