System, Method, and Apparatus for Electronic Patient Care
A system for electronic patient care includes a hub. The hub is configured to monitor a patient-care device. The sandbox may be configured to control access to at least one of a hardware resource and a software resource. The hub is further configured to identify the patient-care device and execute an application to monitor the patient-care device. The hub executes the application within the sandbox component such that the application accesses the at least one of the hardware resource and the software resource through the sandbox component. The hub may be further configured to control the patient-care device. The hub may be further configured to receive an identification from the patient-care device and download the application from a server associated with the identification. The hub may be further configured to receive an identification from the patient-care device and update the application from a server associated with the identification.
ENTERAL FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM
Disclosed is a system for administrating fluids to a patient, such as an infant. The system comprises a container that defines a drip chamber, a source of nutritive fluid fluidically communicating with the drip chamber, and a tube connecting the drip chamber to the gastric cavity of a patient, the chamber including a membrane that is gas-permeable but that is resistant to fluid passage. The system allows fluids to be introduced to the patient and for gastric gases to be released while they are resistant to the leak and spillage.
SUSPENSION TETHER FOR MEDICAL TUBING AND ATTACHMENT DEVICE FOR SAME
A suspension tether suspends intravenous medical tubing that extends between a patient and an IV stand, which supports an IV solution source. The suspension tether includes an elongate elastic body member connectable at one end to a hook of the IV stand and connected at the other end to the IV tube(s). The suspension tether facilitates patient mobility by allowing the patient to move about a space relative to the IV stand to a distance near the full length of the IV tubing with lessened risk of pulling the tubing tight, disengaging the IV line, harming the patient, or damaging equipment. More importantly, the suspension tether suspends the IV tubing off the floor, away from the patient's feet and legs and the stand's wheels, so that the patient may roll the IV stand along his/her side while walking around without risk of entanglement of the IV tube or tripping on the IV tube.
PORTABLE COLLAPSIBLE AIR ISOLATION APPARATUS
A collapsible air isolation apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may include a collapsible frame including a base and a set of rigid panel elements at least partially enclosing a volume of space, where the set of rigid panel elements is foldably hinged to at least one of the base or another of the rigid panel elements, and where at least one panel of the set of rigid panel elements comprises an open space for mounting a motor for moving air. The apparatus may include the motor for moving air configured to create a negative pressure within the volume of space of the collapsible frame.
Syringe plunger with hinged flange
A plunger for movably mounting within a cavity or barrel of a syringe. The plunger includes a contact face having a flange movably mounted thereto, wherein the flange is movable between an open configuration wherein an opening is formed between the flange and a portion of the plunger, the opening configured for engagement with an IV hook or other engagement member, and a closed configuration wherein the upper surfaces of the contact face and the flange are generally planar with one another.
CT DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CT DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a CT device and a method for controlling a CT device. The CT device includes a CT gantry and at least one infusion clip. The CT gantry includes a first end cover and a second end cover opposite to each other. Either or both of a surface of the first end cover and a surface of the second end cover is provided with a guiding rail. One end of each infusion clip is connected to one guiding rail and is slidable along the guiding rail, and the other end of the infusion clip is configured to position an infusion assembly.
Intravenous fluid bag supporting assembly
An intravenous fluid bag supporting assembly includes a mobile base having a plurality of wheels, a telescoping pole having a lower end connected with the base and an inverted polyhedron structure connected with an upper end of the pole and configured to receive at least one intravenous fluid bag. An adjustable light assembly is arranged on the pole in spaced relation between the inverted polyhedron structure and the base. A support platform is arranged on the pole in spaced relation between the light assembly and the base, the support platform supporting a plurality of housings configured to receive a plurality of displays and pumps or other medical instruments, respectively. A hang grip and basket are also arranged on the pole.
Device and Method Useful in Mobile Administering of Feed Products to Patients
A device useful in the administration of feed product from a feeding assembly to a patient, the device having a mounting piece operable to mount the device to a fixed structure, a holding piece operable to hold the feeding assembly, and a flexible arm extending between the mounting piece and locking piece, the flexible arm having sufficient flexibility to be bent such that the feeding assembly can be moved to a desired height but having sufficient rigidity to hold the feeding assembly at the desired height without unintended movement.
Blood purification apparatus
The present teachings provide a blood purification apparatus in which inadvertent replacement of a container bag attached to a hanger portion can be avoided the blood purification apparatus including a holding device capable of holding a container bag that contains a liquid for blood purification treatment, such as dialysate, substitution fluid, or anticoagulant, the blood purification apparatus being capable of performing blood purification treatment using the liquid in the container bag, and the holding device including a hanger portion including an attachment portion to which the container bag can be attached, and movable between a use position and a replacement position, a measuring device capable of measuring the weight of the container bag held by the hanger portion, and a restricting device that restricts attachment and detachment of the container bag to and from the attachment portion when the hanger portion is in the use position.
SELF-INFLATING CUFF FOR USE WITH IV SET
A self-inflating cuff and methods of using the self-inflating cuff are provided. The self-inflating cuff includes first and second compartments formed within the self-inflating cuff and housing respective substances. The first and second compartments are configured to rupture in response to the force applied to an exterior surface of the self-inflating cuff, which causes the respective substances to combine to initiate a chemical reaction to produce a reactionary force on an interior surface of the self-inflating cuff that causes the self-inflating cuff to expand. The self-inflating cuff is further configured to expand such that a first opening at a first end of the self-inflating cuff and a second opening at a second end opposite the first end of the self-inflating cuff enlarge enough to receive a container through the first opening and a tubing of the container through the second opening.
