MEDICAL TUBE FIXING APPARATUS
20190126015 · 2019-05-02 · ·

A medical tube fixing device and a skin stapler for securing a medical tube to an incised surgical site are disclosed. First and second fixing members of a body unit of the medical tube fixing device are loaded into the skin stapler, and can be closed by a pressure successively applied by the skin stapler to enclose and hold the medical tube. Simultaneously, a pair of fixing pins fixed to the body unit can be further bent to penetrate into and be fixed to the skin. Fixing the medical tube to the skin can be carried out by loading the medical tube fixing device on the skin stapler and pressurizing the skin stapler in a single-sequence pressing operation, which allows simple and quick fixing of the medical tube.

Gastric Systems, Apparatus, and Methods for Use with Enteral Feeding

Systems, methods, and apparatus for gastric pressure relief, flow regulation, location, gastric residual volume, a placement reminder, bidirectional fluid flow markings, reintroducing gastric material, collection reservoir raising, collection reservoir hanging, a drain port, setting tube length, and vent membranes. A gastric pressure relief system is used in connection with an enteral feeding system, which includes a feeding container, administration tubing and a delivery tube, where the gastric pressure relief system is interposed between the administration tubing and the delivery tube. The gastric pressure relief system includes a collection reservoir with a gas vent to ambient atmosphere, relief tubing secured to both the collection reservoir and a multi-way connector. The multi-way connector joins the administration tubing to the relief tubing and a delivery tube at a point below a patient's stomach, which is designated on a placement reminder apparatus.

Curved catheter and methods for making same

A pre-curved catheter tube of a catheter assembly or other elongate medical device and methods for forming such a device using a heating procedure is disclosed. Pre-curving of the catheter tube is desirable to impart to the catheter assembly a desired positional configuration when the catheter assembly is inserted into a patient. The heating procedure may include heat sterilization procedures commonly used to sterilize medical devices prior to use. In one embodiment, therefore, a catheter assembly is disclosed, comprising an elongate catheter tube defining at least one lumen, and a tube constraint. The tube constraint is included with the catheter assembly and is configured to temporarily constrain the catheter tube in a curved configuration during a heating procedure of the catheter assembly so as to permanently form the catheter tube in the curved configuration after the heating procedure is complete and the catheter tube is released from the tube constraint.

MEDICAL DRAINAGE TUBE ANCHOR

A medical line stabilizer is provided and includes an elongate rigidifying body having an axis, and multiple open channels that extend parallel to the axis and are adapted to receive a medical line, such as intravenous tubing. The open channels have notches configured to allow controlled bending of the body, which helps to prevent medical lines from becoming entangled or bent.

LOCKING TUBE CLIP

A component useable with one or more tube comprises a body engageable with one or more external surface recesses of the one or more tubes. The component has a pair of jaws extending from the body for gripping an item. The component is configured, such that, in use, in a first orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is movable along a length of the tube(s); and, in a second orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is resistive to movement along a length of the tube(s).

Medical line holder device

The medical line holder device is intended to provide users with a holder that can protect a patient's medical lines when moving around or during rest. To accomplish this, the device includes a main support strip with hook and loop fasteners at the top and the bottom. The fasteners at the top allow the top of the support to be attached to a walker or IV pole and those at the bottom securely hold large medical tubes. Further, two small hook and loop strips in the middle are provided for holding small medical tubes. Thus, the device can safely secure multiple IV lines, feeding tube lines etc. in small closures while also securing larger multiple chest tube lines during mobility or at rest. This protects patient lines from unsafe occurrences or becoming entangled in the IV pole during mobility or while being handled for set up by bedside staff.

Multi-purpose protective covering for use on a medical device

A multi-purpose covering for use with a medical device having a housing and an access port includes a substrate with a first end and a second end. The substrate defines the structure of the covering. The covering also includes a first securing portion nearer the first end of the substrate for securing at least one protective cap to the substrate, and a second securing portion nearer the second end for securing the substrate to the medical device. To protect the access port when the covering is sealed to the medical device, the covering can also include a sealing portion configured to be releasably secured to the medical device.
