Clip-On Flow Control for IV Lines
A “clip-on” flow controller for IV lines automatically controls flow rate over a range of pressures through a self-contained valve and flow sensor. By eliminating a pump, a lightweight system with a long operating life can be produced, as well as a system that can be self-supported on the IV line yet still provide institutional-level flow accuracy without accurate elevation of the IV bag or careful monitoring.
SLACK RELEASE SYSTEM FOR MEDICAL TUBING
A medical tube management system, kit, and method of use; including a fastener, a length of tubing, and a releasable spring to retain and release slack in the tubing when accidentally tugged. The fastener being universal and interchangeable, able to connect various springs. The spring is capable of reversibly restricting flow in the tubing when uncoupled from the fastener. The fastener is capable of notifying the patient, or care taker, when the system has been tugged into the uncoupled position.
Administration System, Delivery Device, and Notification Device for Communicating Status of a Medical Device
An administration system for delivery of a pharmaceutical composition to a patient has a delivery device configured to deliver a dose of the pharmaceutical composition to the patient and a notification device in communication with the delivery device. The notification device is configured to communicate information about a status of at least one property of the delivery device. The delivery device can be a wearable automatic injector configured to be worn on the patient's skin. The delivery device of the present disclosure may allow a user or the patient to view a status of a container. For example, the delivery device of the present disclosure may provide a simple and effective visual means of displaying fill confirmation and delivery confirmation.
Tubing management members and urine collection systems using the same
Embodiments described herein are directed to tubing management members and urine collection systems including such tubing management members. In an embodiment, a tubing management member may be coupled and, in some embodiments, removably coupled to a drainage tube of the urine collection system. The tubing management member may include a plurality of attachment elements for attaching the tubing management member to the drainage tube.
Medical Instrument Storage Device
The present invention relates generally to the field of medical instrument storage. More specifically, the present invention relates to a medical instrument storage device that is comprised of a frame, a main clamp attached to the frame, and at least one instrument clamp also attached to the frame. The frame of the device is generally rectangular and the device is sturdy and sterile such that the device can attach to an operating table to be used in a surgical operating room. Further, the device is comprised of at least one instrument clamp that may store medical instruments or the wires of medical instruments that are to be used during the medical procedure. In this manner, the device can be applied to any medical procedure such that necessary medical instruments may be within an easily accessible range for the surgeon or another member of the surgical team.
INFUSION AND BLOOD COLLECTION DEVICE
An infusion and blood collection device allows clean blood collections into a collection tube via a previously installed angiocatheter without interrupting the administration of intravenous therapies after initial installation. The device includes a fluid flow restriction device to control the blood collection flow rate to prevent contamination of the collected blood draw with the IV therapy fluid being simultaneously infused through the angiocatheter.
INTRAVENOUS FLUID BAG SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY
An intravenous fluid bag supporting assembly includes a mobile base having a plurality of wheels, a telescoping pole having a lower end connected with the base and an inverted polyhedron structure connected with an upper end of the pole and configured to receive at least one intravenous fluid bag. An adjustable light assembly is arranged on the pole in spaced relation between the inverted polyhedron structure and the base. A support platform is arranged on the pole in spaced relation between the light assembly and the base, the support platform supporting a plurality of housings configured to receive a plurality of displays and pumps or other medical instruments, respectively. A hang grip and basket are also arranged on the pole.
IV TUBING CARRIAGE SYSTEM
A device for supporting IV tubing along a distance and suspending the tubing above the floor includes a support arm and a cradle. The cradle is positioned along a shaft of the support and is configured to receive a length of IV tubing therein.
DEVICE FOR PREVENTING ACCIDENTAL SEPARATION OF A DRIP TUBE FROM AN IV MEDICATION BAG OR BOTTLE
Apparatus for preventing accidental separation of an IV tube or spike from an IV medication bag or bottle, thereby preventing spills or leakage of hazardous medication and/or biohazards. The apparatus includes a top clamp to attach around the stem of a medication bag or around the neck of a bottle, a bottom clamp to attach around a drip chamber of an IV tube, and a connecting portion connected to both the top clamp and the bottom clamp, the connecting portion ensuring that the top clamp cannot be pulled away from the bottom clamp. The top clamp can be removably attachable so as to enable clamping and unclam ping at the bag stem or bottle neck for situations requiring sequential bag changes, in the case of multiple blood products, or multiple IV bottles. Or, the top clamp can be permanently attachable, which is useful in the context of chemotherapy or immune therapy.
Flexible tubing management system for pharmaceutical, bioprocess applications, and food/dairy applications
A system for managing flexible conduit or tubing used in pharmaceutical, bioprocess, or food/dairy applications includes a segment of flexible conduit or tubing and a plurality of conduit tracks, each conduit track including a conduit channel disposed on a first side thereof and extending along the length of each respective conduit track and dimensioned to receive the segment of flexible conduit or tubing therein, each conduit track further including a connector channel disposed on a second, opposing side and extending along the length of each respective conduit track and containing the one or more connectors that connect adjacent conduit tracks. The conduit tracks can be connected to each other or other process components.
