GUIDEWIRE AND CATHETER MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND RELATED METHODS
This patent document discloses accessory devices and associated methods for catheter and guidewire management in a surgical setting. Implementations can include an accessory device having a manually deformable body that includes proximal and distal surfaces. The body may further define at least first and second apertures, each aperture extending through the body. The first aperture can be engageable with a proximal end portion of a first elongate medical device, and the second aperture can be configured to receive a second elongate medical device. The body can be slidable along the proximal end portion of the first elongate medical device and/or the second elongate medical device, and the proximal surface of the body may include a funnel leading into the first aperture, the second aperture, or both. The body may be incorporated into, or attached to, a proximal side of a hemostasis valve utilized for a medical operation.
TUBE FASTENER DEVICE
There is described a tube fastener, in particular tube fastener to secure respiratory tubing for breathing systems, methods of using the tube fastener, a carriage for use with the tube fastener and a system.
System of medical indicators having multisensory, multipurpose and multifunctional features
A system including a plurality of indicator tags, each of which includes a body having a first end, a second end, a first surface extending from the first end to the second end, a second surface extending from the first end to the second end, and an aperture sized and shaped to receive a corresponding intravenous tube extending from the first end to the second end intermediate the first surface and the second surface, at least one of the first and second surfaces including a haptic signature, wherein the plurality of indicator tags includes at least one tag of a first type and at least one tag of a second type, wherein the haptic signature of the at least one tag of the first type corresponds to a first medication, wherein the haptic signature of the at least one tag of the second type corresponds to a second medication.
IMPROVED INJECTION SYSTEM AND DAY SET ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
A solution for injecting one or more fluids into a patient is proposed. A corresponding injection system comprises: at least one supply station for supplying a fluid to be injected into a patient's vasculature; a pressurizing unit comprising a motor for pressurizing the fluid received from said at least one supply station; a delivery arrangement in fluid communication with said at least one supply station, the delivery arrangement comprising a connector having a connecting element and a latching mechanism; a patient set assembly in fluid communication with said delivery arrangement, said patient set assembly comprising a peristaltic pump component and at least one delivery tube for delivering the pressurized fluid to the patient, said peristaltic pump component having a connecting element for fluidically engaging the connecting element of the connector of the delivery arrangement at said port of the pressurizing unit, characterized in that said latching mechanism comprises an elongated flap integral with said connector, and said latching mechanism engages a corresponding port of the pressurizing unit.
INFUSION FRIENDLY SWEATER DONNABLE WITH MEDICAL ATTACHMENTS
A clothing article accommodating pre-existing attire of a wearer and a pre-existing medical attachment, the article includes a first and second front side and a back side connected to a second front side, the article of clothing accommodating a pre-existing medical attachment connected to the wearer. The clothing article includes a bottom hem around the bottom and a collar around the top of the clothing article. A first front placket and a second front placket extend from the collar to the bottom hem. A first sleeve includes a lateral seam from the wrist to the first front placket, below the collar, with a top placket having fasteners and a bottom placket having mating fasteners. Donning or removing the clothing article includes opening the first lateral seam and wrapping the first sleeve around an arm of the wearer, closing the first lateral seam by engaging the fasteners with the mating fasteners.
Infusion support device and method
An ophthalmic infusion support and associated methods are shown. Example infusion support devices include a base region, a support region, and a fastener. The fastener may take on the form of a c-shaped clip. When in use, the ophthalmic infusion support holds an infusion tube at an angle projecting away from a patient's eye.
Barrier system to reduce the rates of infections
A barrier system is provided for use in reducing infections associated with post-operative surgical incision and/or a percutaneous medical device, such as a catheter, that is disposed within the surgical incision. Such a barrier system may include: a barrier device having a skin-contacting surface and a catheter-receiving surface; and an adhesive composition configured for adhering to skin, the barrier device, and/or the catheter so as to form a barrier at or adjacent to an incision in the skin where the catheter is percutaneously inserted through the skin. A tensioning anchor and associated system of two or more tensioning anchors is provided for post-operative wound closure. A method for applying and removing the barrier device and tensioning anchors is also provided.
Tube guidance means for a laboratory automation system
A tube guidance means (36) for a laboratory automation system (10) comprises a plate (40) with a guide opening (38); wherein the guide opening (38) has two partial openings (42) which are separated by a land (46) and which are connected by a slot (44); and wherein the partial openings (42) have cutouts (54) for guiding a tube (32), the cutouts (54) being located opposite each other on edges (52) which face away from each other.
MEDICAL TUBING ORGANIZER
A tubing organizer is described herein. The tubing organizer comprising a cellular sheet comprising a base sheet having a first major surface and a second major surface, a top sheet periodically connected to the second major surface of the base sheet forming an array of fluid filled cells, wherein the fluid filled cells are separated by gutters, and an adhesive layer disposed on the first major surface of the base sheet.
TUBE CLAMP
A tube holder includes a tube clamp having a housing and a clamping mechanism. The housing has a tube entry along a major surface thereof. A first tube passageway extends from the tube entry into the housing, and a tube receiving channel is coupled to the first tube passageway. The clamping mechanism comprises a lever handle user operable to transition from a first position to a second position. A gate is coupled to the lever handle, and a tube pinch is coupled to the lever handle. When a tube is peripherally inserted into the tube receiving channel and the lever handle of the clamping mechanism is in the second position, the gate prevents the tube from exiting the housing via the first tube passageway, and the tube pinch pinches the tube so as to prevent a flow of a fluid through the tube.
