Reactor including iron cores and rectifier, LC filter, and motor drive apparatus including the same
A reactor includes a plurality of iron cores and a winding wound on any of the plurality of iron cores; a gap is formed between two iron cores facing against each other; a gap-facing surface of one iron core has an area larger than that of a gap-facing surface of the other iron core.
PULSED POWER CIRCUITS USING HYBRID NON-LINEAR MAGNETIC MATERIALS AND INDUCTORS INCORPORATING THE SAME
A pulsed power circuit (30, 31, 32) including an inductor (55) having a hybrid core of a switch magnetic material arranged and selected to function as a magnetic switch a damping magnetic material arranged and selected to damp energy reflections without interfering with the switch magnetic material functioning as a magnetic switch so that the circuit can mitigate resonances caused by reflected energy without any significant degradation of its switching function as part of an saturable reactor inductor.

Oxide ceramic and ceramic electronic component
An oxide ceramic expressed by the general formula Sr.sub.2-xBa.sub.xCo.sub.2-yMg.sub.yFe.sub.12-zAl.sub.zO.sub.22, where 0.7x1.3, 0<y0.8, and 0.8z1.2.
Inductor, a related method of manufacture, a transmitter including said inductor, and a related proximity detection system
The invention relates to an inductor, and particularly to an inductor for a transmitter circuit. The invention also concerns a transmitter including said inductor, a proximity detection system employing such a transmitter, and a method of making said inductor. The inductor of the invention includes a core having non-uniform permeability and a conductor winding arranged around the core. When used in a transmitter circuit, this allows an induced electromagnetic field to propagate through the core in a more efficient manner than otherwise possible, so resulting in a higher dynamic field strength for a given resonant circuit drive.

INDUCTIVE SENSOR TUNING USING A PERMEABLE PASTE MIXTURE
An inductive sensor includes a core body, a coil wound on the core body, a cavity having a fixed volume within the core body, and an epoxy mixture filling a controlled portion of the fixed volume. The controlled portion of the fixed volume filled with the epoxy mixture controls an inductance of the sensor.

Magnetic based temperature sensing for electrical transmission line
Systems and methods for sensing, measuring, or monitoring the temperature of an electrical transmission line of an electrical cable, are provided. A temperature sensitive inductor is disposed in thermal contact with the electrical transmission line. The temperature of the electrical transmission line can be sensed, measured, or monitored by measuring the inductance of the temperature sensitive inductor. Mechanisms and methods to eliminate, minimize, or account for the magnetic coupling between the current carried by the electrical transmission line and the temperature sensitive inductor are provided.
