INTEGRATED CIRCUIT
An integrated circuit includes a substrate having an electronic component. A substrate-based coil is on the substrate. The coil is electrically coupled to the electronic component. A magnetic mold compound encapsulates the coil and the electronic component.
WIRE-WOUND COIL ELEMENT
A coil element according to one embodiment of the present invention has a rectangular parallelepiped shape and has a principal surface including long sides and short sides. The coil element includes a drum core, a winding wound around the drum core, a first external electrode, a second external, and a covering portion covering at least a part of the winding core. The drum core in the embodiment includes a first flange, a second flange, and a winding core connecting between the first flange and the second flange. The winding core extends along the short sides of the principal surface. In one embodiment, the coil element has a height less than 0.85 mm.
TRANSFORMER INDUCTOR COMBINATION DEVICE
A combined transformer/inductor device includes a core having a central core leg and an outer core leg spaced apart from the central core leg, an inner bobbin disposed around the central core leg, an outer bobbin disposed around the inner bobbin and the central core leg and having an upper portion having a first oblong portion disposed around the outer core leg, a lower portion having a second oblong portion disposed around the outer core leg, and a central portion disposed around the inner bobbin and the central core leg, a first winding wound around the inner bobbin, and a second winding wound around the outer bobbin, the second winding having a first portion wound around the first oblong portion, a second portion wound around the central portion, and a third portion wound around the second oblong portion.
Inductor
An inductor includes a main body having a bottom surface, a top surface positioned opposite to the bottom surface, four side surfaces connected to the bottom surface and the top surface, a metal body that includes a first metal portion buried in the main body and second metal portions extending outward from respective opposite longitudinal ends of the first metal portion. The second metal portions are exposed from respective opposite side surfaces of the main body. In the inductor, each second metal portion is formed into a tabular shape having a first surface with a plating layer and a second surface positioned opposite to the first surface. Each second metal portion is formed into an external terminal and includes a first bend and a second bend that are formed by bending the second metal portion.
Transformer inductor combination device
A combined transformer/inductor device includes a core having a central core leg and an outer core leg spaced apart from the central core leg, an inner bobbin disposed around the central core leg, an outer bobbin disposed around the inner bobbin and the central core leg and having an upper portion having a first oblong portion disposed around the outer core leg, a lower portion having a second oblong portion disposed around the outer core leg, and a central portion disposed around the inner bobbin and the central core leg, a first winding wound around the inner bobbin, and a second winding wound around the outer bobbin, the second winding having a first portion wound around the first oblong portion, a second portion wound around the central portion, and a third portion wound around the second oblong portion.
Integrated circuit
An integrated circuit and method of making an integrated circuit is provided. The integrated circuit includes a substrate having an electronic component. A substrate-based coil is on the substrate and the substrate-based coil is electrically coupled to the electronic component. A magnetic mold compound encapsulates the substrate-based coil and the electronic component.
Coil Component
A coil component includes a bobbin, a magnetic core, a coil, and a cover member attached onto the bobbin along an attachment direction. One of the cover member and the bobbin has a spring piece. The spring piece elastically energizes the other of the cover member and the bobbin. The spring piece extends along the attachment direction and has one end, a contact part, an entering part, and a tip end. The other of the cover member and the bobbin has a convex part and a recessed part. The recessed part is closer to the tip end than the convex part. The contact part contacts and energizes the convex part. The entering part enters the recessed part. The spring piece is bent to generate an energizing force. The cover member energizes the bobbin upward at a contact position by the energizing force.
REACTOR
A reactor includes a core and first and second coils wound around the core about first and second center axes extended in a first direction, respectively. The core includes first and second core legs disposed inside the first and second coils, respectively. The first and second coils are arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The first coil includes a first wound-wire part wound around the first core leg and two first terminal parts extended from both end portions of the first wound-wire part, respectively. The second coil includes a second wound-wire part wound around the second core leg and two second terminal parts extended from both end portions of the second wiring wire part, respectively. The second coil has the same shape and the same dimension as the first coil.
APPARATUS FOR A DC-DC CONVERTER INDUCTOR
An apparatus includes at least one top magnetic core comprising a first material with a first resistivity.
