HOUSING PART, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD
In at least one embodiment, the housing part is configured to be connected to an electric component, to house an electric line, and to be filled with a liquid. The housing part comprises an electrically conductive material and has an open mounting side to be connected to the electric component. A surface-to-volume ratio of the housing part is at least 3 m-1, and a ratio of the volume and a wall rupture pressure of the housing part is at least 0.02 m3MPa-1. A corresponding electric system is operated so that, when an electric arc occurs in the housing part, the housing part absorbs a pressure rise that is led into a component tank.

CURRENT TRANSFORMER
A current transformer includes a head tank and a head tank cover, both of an electrically conductive material, a primary winding for conducting a current to be measured. The primary winding has a primary bar, and a secondary winding is wound around the primary bar. The primary and secondary windings are arranged within a cavity defined within the head tank and cover. An upper flange of the head tank is configured for fluid tightly sealing against a cover flange of the head tank cover. The head tank and cover respectively have a primary terminal for electrically contacting the primary winding. One or more connection points are within the head tank and cover, respectively, to electrically connect a respective end of the primary winding to the head tank or to the cover, wherein an electrically insulating ring is arranged between the cover flange and the upper flange.

Transformer assembly has an input terminal, principal housing with main chamber for high voltage coil(s) having plurality of taps, low voltage coil(s) and retaining oil. A potential transformer; load tap changer having a controller, a motor and a plurality of switches; electrical wiring connected to taps, switches within auxiliary housing chamber are submerged by oil within auxiliary chamber; load tap change controller can adjust taps while the switches and electrical connections are submerged in oil of auxiliary housing chamber. The upper level of oil in the main housing chamber is at a level equal to or above the switches of the load tap changer. The auxiliary housing has an access opening and cover. System apparatus with frames, having beams, lattices and cable guides for routing cables for assembly.

Spiral core current transformer for energy harvesting applications
A current transformer assembly for harvesting power from a primary conductor, such as a power line, for operating electronics, where the assembly is secured to the conductor while the conductor is connected. The assembly includes a current transformer having a transformer structure with a central opening that accepts the primary conductor and a spindle member for accepting a current transformer magnetic tape operating as the core of the current transformer. The assembly also includes a tape carrier secured to the structure on which the transformer tape is wound, and a winding device operable to unwind the transformer tape from the tape carrier and wind the tape onto the spindle member.
Coil module and power converter
In a coil module, a coil device includes a coil unit and at least one terminal extending from the coil unit. A case is configured to house the coil device. At least one busbar is secured to the case. The at least one terminal is electrically connected to the at least one busbar. A potting member is filled in the case to fixedly retain the coil device in the case.

A support bracket assembly for supporting a pair of bushing well interrupter devices provided within a transformer enclosure that encloses a transformer. The support bracket assembly includes a mounting bracket assembly rigidly secured to a parking stand on the enclosure and including a plurality of mounting bosses. The support bracket assembly further includes support brackets, a first adjustable link secured to one of the mounting bosses on the mounting assembly and a mounting boss on a support bracket, a second adjustable link secured to another one of the mounting bosses on the mounting assembly and a mounting bosses on a support bracket, and a third adjustable link secured to mounting bosses on two support bracket, where the first, second and third adjustable links form a triangular configuration.
Systems and methods for removing moisture from a power transformer
The disclosure includes embodiments of systems and methods for removing moisture from an electric power transformer. According to an embodiment, a moisture removal system includes a pump to move oil from the transformer into the system; one or more incoming oil moisture and temperature sensors to detect a first moisture level and temperature of oil; a processor to receive the moisture and temperature and determine an estimated paper moisture value of the insulation of the transformer, and compare the estimate to a target paper moisture value; and an overdry prevention bypass valve positioned in a first position to divert oil without drying when the estimated paper moisture value is equal to or less than the target value, and in a second position to channel oil through one or more drying cylinders when the estimated paper moisture value exceeds the target value.
Shield for a terminal of a high-voltage electrical device and method for operating the same
An aspect of the present disclosure provides a shield for a terminal of a high-voltage electrical device including a first shield element having at least one axial opening and at least one lateral opening, and at least one second shield element, wherein the at least one second shield element is moveable between a first shield position and a second shield position for selectively opening and closing at least one of the at least one axial opening and the at least one first lateral opening. Further aspects provide a high-voltage electrical bushing comprising a shield according to the aspect above, and a transformer including said high-voltage electrical bushing. Yet a further aspect provides a method for installing a high-voltage bushing having a shield according to the aspect above.
