METHOD OF FORMING A CAST INDUCTOR APPARATUS
The invention comprises a method for manufacturing an inductor, comprising the steps of: casting a cast winding comprising an inner cavity; inserting a first inductor core subsection into the inner cavity; inserting a second inductor core subsection into the inner cavity; and mechanically coupling the first inductor core subsection to the second inductor core subsection to form an inductor core wound by the cast windings. The method of manufacturing optionally includes the steps of: forming at least a portion of the cast winding into an arced helical shape; forming the first inductor core subsection and the second inductor core subsection into elements of a torpid shaped inductor core; deforming the cast winding to physically allow the step of inserting the first inductor core subsection into the inner cavity; and/or deforming at least a portion of the cast winding into an arced helical coil shape after the step of inserting.
Transformer and associated production method
A transformer for switched-mode power supplies includes a magnetizable core having a winding axis, at least one primary winding, which is formed by a primary winding conductor which at least partly surrounds the winding axis of the core, and at least one secondary winding, which is formed by a secondary winding conductor. The secondary winding conductor surrounds the primary winding conductor. The secondary winding is formed in one layer, and a cross section of the secondary winding conductor is rectangular, in particular square.
Component
A component is disclosed. In an embodiment a component includes a first region suitable for a feedthrough of at least one bus bar and a second region in which at least one discrete device is arranged, wherein the first region and the second region are separated from one another by a cooling region thermally decoupling the first region from the second region.
Transformer with hinged cooling module
An electrical appliance for connection to a high-voltage grid has a housing which can be filled with insulating liquid and in which there is arranged a core with at least one winding. A cooling module for cooling the insulating liquid is connected to the housing via attachment lines. The electrical appliance is inexpensive and can be quickly transported and quickly set in operation on site, in that the novel cooling module is fastened to the housing by way of a hook connection.
REACTOR FOR VEHICLE
A coil includes unit coils wound around a central axis and adjacent to each other with a space therebetween in a central axis direction. A reactor includes a pair of support frames and one or more spacers, the support frames facing each other in the central axis direction across the coil. The spacers are disposed between adjacent unit coils or between the support frame and the coil. At least one of the spacers is a variable spacer that includes a first member and a second member, the first member having one end face which has a recess, and the second member including a fitting portion to be fitted into the recess of the first member in the central axis direction. The linear expansion coefficient of the second member is less than the linear expansion coefficient of the first member.

The invention comprises an apparatus, comprising: a toroid shaped inductor and a cooling jacket including at least two sections joined to encase the toroid shaped inductor, where the cooling jacket has an inner toroid shaped surface separated by a coolant flow gap from the toroid shaped inductor. Optionally, the inductor comprises a cast winding, a cast heat sink element of the cast winding protruding from a longitudinal length of a turn of the winding, and/or a distributed gap pressed powder inductor core.

The invention comprises an apparatus, comprising: an inductor comprising a cast winding and/or a cast heat sink element of the cast winding protruding from a longitudinal length of a turn of the winding wrapped around an inductor core, such as a distributed gap/pressed powder inductor core. Optionally, the inductor comprises a toroid shape, is cooled using a cooling jacket with a toroid shaped void therein, and/or is wrapped with an arced helical shaped cast winding, which is optionally deformable for insertion of the inductor core in sections.

A reactor includes a coil that has unit coils. Spacers are disposed in (i) at least one of spaces between the unit coils adjacent to each other in the central axis direction and (ii) a space between each of the support frames and the unit coil. Bolts penetrate the support frame and the spacers, and the spacers are fixed to the bolts The bolts include fitting portions to be fitted to one of the spacers on a notch or a through hole formed in a projection part of the spacer.
