Method and an apparatus for producing a coil for electric apparatus
A method for producing a coil for electric apparatus of the present invention is the method for producing a coil for electric apparatus for cutting spirally a block-shaped workpiece formed with a cylindrical portion corresponding to the coil in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical portion, the spiral coil is formed by turning a cutting means while moving it relatively to the workpiece from a part corresponding to one end of the coil to a part corresponding the other end of the coil along a machining line spirally set in the circumferential direction of the cylindrical portion. According to the invention, since the coil is formed by cutting the continuous cutting machining plane without generating a step in design from the block-shaped workpiece formed with a cylindrical portion corresponding to the coil using a wire-tool etc., it is possible to constitute a high-quality coil.
COILED ELEMENTS COMPRISING A TEMPERATURE MEASURING DEVICE
A wound element made up of a plurality of superposed layers of turns wound on a core, including a sheet of a material that is thermally conductive at least in its plane, which sheet is interposed between two of the superposed layers of turns and has an end projecting from these layers and including at least one temperature probe for delivering temperature information about the wound element.
System of termination of high power transformers for reduced AC termination loss at high frequency
A planar transformer includes a magnetic core having an internal opening. A plurality of high current capacity windings are disposed within the internal opening. These high current capacity windings have a length, a width and a thickness. Each winding is formed as an open loop having adjacent first and second end portions. There is at least one primary winding and one secondary winding. The primary winding and/or secondary winding may be high current capacity windings. A first terminal lead is electrically interconnected to multiple adjacent first end portions and a second terminal lead is electrically interconnected to multiple second end portions. Both the first terminal lead and said second terminal lead have a length, a width and a thickness measured with the thickness being less than either the terminal lead length or the terminal lead width.
LIQUID COOLED MAGNETIC ELEMENT
A toroidal magnetic element. A plurality of coils is arranged in a toroidal configuration. Each coil may be a hollow cylinder, formed by winding a rectangular wire into a roll. The coils alternate with spacers, each of which may be a wedge. The coils may alternate in winding orientation, and the inner end of each coil may be connected, through a connection pin, to the inner end of an adjacent coil. Small gaps are formed between the coils and the wedges, e.g. as a result of each wedge having, on its two faces, a plurality of raised ribs, against which the coils abut. Cooling fluid flows through the gaps to cool the coils.
