The filter assembly may include a filter assembly housing with a housing filter portion having a filter supporting volume, a filter located within the filter supporting volume, and a bubble guard, including a bubble guard wall and at least one bubble guard aperture that extends through the bubble guard wall, associated with the filter assembly housing such that the bubble guard wall is located in spaced relation to the filter.

APPARATUS FOR MONITORING, REGULATING, OR CONTROLLING FLUID FLOW

An apparatus, system and method for regulating fluid flow are disclosed. An apparatus for infusing fluid into a patient includes a housing, a tube-contact member, a rotating arm, and a tube-retention cover. The housing has an opening on a front side of the housing. The opening is sized to receive a drip chamber having an inlet tube and an outlet tube. The tube-contact member contacts one of the inlet tube and the output tube of the drip chamber when inserted into the opening. The rotating arm is coupled to the tube-contact member and is configured to rotate along an axis. The tube-retention cover is configured to close when the drip chamber is initially loaded into the opening.

SYSTEMS FOR WEARABLE INFUSION PORT AND ASSOCIATED PUMP

A pump for delivering a fluid includes a pump housing that defines at least one reservoir having a circumferentially open first end, a circumferentially closed second end and a chamber to receive the fluid. The pump includes a plunger assembly having at least one plunger arm and a cannula fluidly coupled to the plunger arm to dispense the fluid from the pump. The plunger arm is receivable within the first end of the reservoir, and the at least one plunger arm defining an internal conduit to receive the fluid from the at least one fluid reservoir. The internal conduit is fluidly coupled to the cannula. The plunger assembly is movable in a first direction relative to the pump housing to advance the plunger arm within the fluid reservoir to dispense the fluid from the fluid reservoir out of the pump via the cannula.

An infusion device includes a pump for pumping a medical fluid from a fluid container through a delivery line towards a patient at a flow rate, a sensor for measuring a force on the pump or the delivery line, and a processor device configured to derive, from the force measured by the sensor, a pressure value indicative of the pressure in the delivery line and to compare the pressure value to a threshold value for determining whether an occlusion in the delivery line is present. A storage device stores a compliance value associated with the pump and/or the delivery line, and the processor device is configured to compute, from the stored compliance value, the flow rate and the threshold value, an estimate of a duration between the time of an occurrence of an occlusion and the time at which the pressure value exceeds the threshold value.

Apparatus with a main control unit, a control unit and an electromechanical device and a method for operating such an apparatus

The invention relates to an apparatus comprising an electromechanical device, a control unit, a main control unit and a motion detector, wherein said control unit is configured to control said electromechanical device. The invention also relates to a method for operating an apparatus with a main control unit, a control unit and an electromechanical device. The technical problem of providing an apparatus with an electromechanical device, the reliability of which is improved, is solved by an apparatus wherein the main control unit is configured to provide information to the control unit. The motion detector and the main control unit are configured such that information about the movement of the electromechanical device is provided by the motion detector at least to the main control unit. The technical problem is also solved by a method for operating an apparatus, in particular an apparatus or medical device according to the invention.

Peristaltic pumps are described herein. In certain embodiments, a peristaltic pump includes a plunger, a camshaft, and a first biasing member. The plunger is movable to selectively engage a pumping volume of a tubing segment. The camshaft includes a first plunger cam lobe. The first plunger cam lobe is configured to move the plunger between an engaged position in contact with the pumping volume and a disengaged position spaced apart from the pumping volume. The first biasing member is configured to urge the plunger toward the tubing segment to maintain contact with the tubing segment in the engaged position.

FLUID LINE OCCLUSION DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHODS
