Reactor
Provided is a reactor including a coil that has wound portions formed by winding a winding wire, and a magnetic core that includes inner core portions arranged inside of the wound portions and outer core portions arranged outside of the wound portions. The reactor includes an outer resin portion covering at least outer surfaces of the outer core portions. A terminal platform is formed in one piece protruding on the outer surface of an outer resin portion among the outer resin portions and has fastening portions configured to fasten terminal fittings connected to end portions of the winding wire to terminals of an external wiring. A fixing portion is formed in one piece on the terminal platform and fixes the reactor to an installation target. The terminal platform and the fixing portion are integrated and the thickness of the terminal platform is less than that of the fixing portion.
WIRELESS TRANSMISSIONS THROUGH A TRANSFORMER TANK
The present disclosure relates to a transformer system comprising a power transformer including a metal tank filled with an electrically insulating liquid, and a wireless sensor arrangement submerged in the insulating liquid within the tank. The sensor arrangement includes a radio transmitter for wirelessly transmitting sensor readings to the outside of the transformer through an opening in the tank, said opening being provided with a liquid-tight seal comprising a solid insulator for preventing leakage from the tank of the insulating liquid and wherein the radio transmitter is configured for transmitting the sensor readings using a carrier frequency within the range of from 100 kHz to 1 MHz.
DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER SYSTEM AND METHODS THEREOF
A distribution transformer system includes a distribution transformer and a distribution transformer monitoring (DTM) device secured to the transformer. The DTM device includes multiple sensors, a controller, and a communication interface. The sensors are configured to monitor physical properties of the distribution transformer. Each of the sensors outputs respective sensor data representative of at least one monitored physical property of the distribution transformer. The controller is configured to receive the respective sensor data from each sensor to produce received sensor data. The communications interface is in communication with the controller and configured to communicate the received sensor data to a remote system for use in determining operational parameters of the distribution transformer. In one embodiment, the distribution transformer system further includes a surge arrester associated with the distribution transformer and the DTM device includes a surge arrester sensor configured to monitor the surge arrester and output surge arrester sensor data.

A transformer includes: a core portion for forming a magnetic circuit; and a primary-side winding and a secondary-side winding wound at the core portion. One or both of the primary-side winding and the secondary-side winding are divided into a plurality of division windings, and each of the plurality of the division windings of the at least one divided winding has a wound part wound at the core portion, and two extending members extending from both ends of the wound part. The extending members of the plurality of the division windings of the at least one divided winding are mutually connected, and a number of turns in the transformer of the at least one divided winding is set.
DEFECT MONITORING APPARATUS AND DETECTION METHOD FOR TRANSFORMER OIL CONSERVATOR BASED ON EDGE COMPUTING
Disclosed are a defect monitoring apparatus and detection method for a transformer oil conservator based on edge computing. The monitoring apparatus includes: a sensing terminal, an edge intelligent gateway, a monitoring terminal, an oil conservator defect monitoring cloud platform, and a client terminal. The edge intelligent gateway and the monitoring terminal are both disposed in a substation. The monitoring terminal is configured to access the edge intelligent gateway. The sensing terminal includes: an airflow sensor, an oil temperature sensor, an ambient temperature sensor, and a microwave oil level measurement assembly. The sensing terminal sends detection data information to the edge intelligent gateway, and the edge intelligent gateway stores and determines a category of the detection data information. The present disclosure can recognize capsule damage, partial blockage of a breathing circuit, leakage in the breathing circuit, moisture impurities in a breathing tube, and false oil level.
External switch coupler for pad-mounted transformers
An external switch coupler includes: a guide tube having a first end and a second end, the first end configured to be attached to a door of a compartment in substantial alignment with both a hole in the door and a switch coupler within the compartment, and the second end configured to be disposed within an interior of the compartment and separated from the switch coupler by a gap when the door is closed; a coupling shaft configured to be operably placed within the guide tube, the coupling shaft having an electrically insulative member disposed between an coupler side adapter and a switch side adapter, and a length equal to or greater than a distance between the switch coupler and the hole in the door when the door is closed.
RAPID PRESSURE RISE DETECTION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A rapid pressure rise detection and management system that detects internal pressure changes in a transformer. The rapid pressure rise detection and management system communicates with one or more pressure sensors attached to a tank of the transformer and measures the rate of pressure change versus time. The rapid pressure rise detection and management system then compares this rate of pressure change against a set of parameters to determine if this pressure change is an internal fault requiring the transformer to be taken offline or external fault to be ignored. This rapid pressure rise detection and management system may be a standalone device or work with other monitoring/controlling equipment to expand its sensing and management capabilities.
