On-load tap changer

An on-load tap changer for uninterrupted switching between different winding taps of a tapped transformer has a plurality of fixed selector contacts electrically connected with the individual winding taps, arranged in a line, and actuatable by two longitudinally displaceable movable selector contacts. Two vacuum interrupters serve for the uninterrupted switching of each phase. A motor drive actuates the on-load tap changer. The entire load changeover switch is arranged by a transmission module on the underside of a transformer cover.

LOAD TRANSFER SWITCH FOR ON-LOAD TAP CHANGER, AND ON-LOAD TAP CHANGER

A diverter switch is for an on-load tap-changer. The diverter switch includes: at least one vacuum interrupter; an actuating element, which is mechanically connected at a first end of the vacuum interrupter and has a roller at a second end; and an actuating body having a base body and having at least one cam. The vacuum interrupter is configured to be actuated via the actuating element as a result of the roller moving over the actuating body. At least one part of the cam has a higher strength than the base body.

Switch element for tap changer, and tap changer

A switching element for a tap changer, the switching element having a vacuum interrupter that includes a movable contact, a plunger connected with the movable contact, and a housing, in the interior of which, the movable contact is arranged. The switching element also has an actuator configured to actuate the plunger and thereby actuate the movable contact; and a guide. The guide is arranged outside of the housing and is attached to the actuator such that, when actuation of the movable contact takes place, the guide is configured to move therewith. The guide surrounds the housing at least in part, and at least a sub-region of the guide bears against the housing such that, when the movable contact is actuated, the sub-region is moved along the housing.

20230275524 · 2023-08-31 ·

A transformer for adjusting the voltage supplied to a load, the transformer comprising a primary winding connectable to a primary AC electrical supply and a secondary winding connectable in series between a live supply and a load. The primary winding comprises a switching means operable to change the number of turns of the primary winding connectable to the primary AC electrical supply where the number of turns of the primary winding connectable to the primary AC electrical supply is greater than a number of turns in the secondary winding. The switching means comprises one or more solid state switches.

Dual motor system

A dual motor system includes a first motor providing a lower speed range and a second motor providing a higher speed range, wherein the motors are coaxially arranged and aligned on and drive a common shaft, and a motor control system controlling the speed of the first motor and engaging the second motor as needed. The first motor is a variable speed motor providing a lower two-thirds of a full speed range, and the second motor is an induction motor providing the upper one-third in the form of one or more discrete fixed speeds. The system may include a transformer including a first winding tap which provides a first higher speed, and a second winding tap which provides a second higher speed. The system may also include a flow control system for automatically controlling the speed of the motors for particular applications, such as flow control in a pool.

On-load tap changer head and on-load tap changer having an on-load tap changer head

An on-load tap changer head includes: a first region for an insulating fluid of the on-load tap changer to flow; a second region separated from the first region by a wall; and a detector for detecting an increased flow speed of the insulating fluid. The detector includes: a flow flap in the first region configured to tilt from a defined flow speed of the insulating fluid from a first position to a second position; a first magnet secured to the flap such that in the second position of the flow flap, the first magnet is in an immediate vicinity of the wall; a second magnet in the second region in the immediate vicinity of the wall; and a switch in the second region that is operationally coupled to the second magnet such that tilting over of the flow flap from the first position to the second position actuates the switch.
