POWER CONVERTING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS EMPLOYING THE SAME
According to one embodiment, a power converting device includes a rectifier bridge configured to pulsate an AC voltage to generate a pulsating voltage, a first smoothing capacitor configured to smooth the pulsating voltage to generate a DC voltage, a primary winding connected to the first smoothing capacitor, a switch circuit configured to switch the DC voltage supplied from the first smoothing capacitor to the primary winding, and a first discharge circuit. The first discharge circuit includes a first discharge resistor configured to discharge electric charges remaining on the first smoothing capacitor and a first switch element configured to release the first discharge resistor from the first smoothing capacitor if the AC voltage is supplied and to connect the first discharge resistor to the first smoothing capacitor if the AC voltage is not supplied and the electric charges remain on the first smoothing capacitor.

Ring-shaped moving holes (2a to 2d) are formed on a first supporting member (2), and holes (4a to 4d) are formed on a second supporting member (4). A first coil (1) is rotated along the moving holes (2a to 2d) in a state where supports (5a to 5d) and bolts (6a to 6d) are inserted in the moving holes (2a to 2d) and the holes (4a to 4d). The first coil (1) and a second coil (3) are fixed so that coil surfaces of the first coil (1) and the second coil (3) become parallel by using the supports (5a to 5d), the bolts (6a to 6d), and nuts (7a to 7d).

Coil surfaces of a first coil (1) and a second coil (3) are parallel in a state of having an interval therebetween. When the first coil (1) rotates, a combined inductance by the first coil (1) and the second coil (3) changes.

A variable inductive displacement sensor includes a primary excitation coil, a first secondary coil, and a second secondary coil. The primary excitation coil is configured to generate a variable magnetic field, and the first and second secondary coils are configured to each generate a signal induced by the variable magnetic field. The primary coil and the first and second secondary coils each have one end which is intended to be connected to a common ground.

Embodiments of the disclosure provide a rotary transformer (RT) that includes a printed circuit board (PCB) and a set of secondary windings integrated with the PCB. The set of secondary windings includes a plurality traces extending over a first region of the PCB and a second region of the PCB. The plurality of traces are organized in a first positional order in the first region of the PCB. The plurality of traces are organized in a second positional order in the second region of the PCB.
