HIGH CURRENT, MULTI-PHASE, SURFACE MOUNT INDUCTOR AND METHODS OF FABRICATION
An integrated multi-phase inductor component assembly includes a multi-piece magnetic core that may be easily assembled with multiple coils arranged in a mirror-image relationship in the magnetic core. The coils include vertically extending, planar main winding sections extending in spaced apart but parallel vertical planes and horizontal sections extending in coplanar relationship on top and bottom sides of the magnetic core for surface mounting to a circuit board or through hole mounting to another circuit board or another component in power supply circuitry for an electronic device.
Integrated inductor and power module
The application provides an integrated inductor and a power module. The integrated inductor includes a magnetic core, comprising: two winding columns disposed in parallel, each provided with an air gap; a first cover plate disposed under the two winding columns; a second cover plate disposed above the two winding columns, and opposite to the first cover plate; and a common column connected between the first and second cover plates, and disposed on one or both sides of the two winding columns; and two windings are respectively wound on the two winding columns, wherein a line frequency current component of a current flowing through each of the two windings surrounds the winding columns in the same direction, a phase of high-frequency current component of the current flowing through each of the two windings differs by 180, and a coupling coefficient between the two windings is less than 0.1.
DC ELECTRIC GRID
A DC electric grid comprising a plurality of electric nodes, one or more electric branches electrically connecting said electric nodes and a plurality of protection devices arranged at said electric branches. Each protection device comprises a first terminal for coupling to a first branch portion and a second terminal for coupling to a second branch portion. Each protection device further comprises a switching assembly including one or more switching devices and a magnetic device electrically connected in series with said switching assembly between the first and second terminals of said protection device. The electric grid further includes one or more control devices included in or operatively coupled to the above-mentioned protection devices. Each control device is configured to control one or more switching devices of the switching assembly of one or more protection devices to cause said switching devices to switch selectively between a closed state and open state.
PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A DC ELECTRIC GRID
The present disclosure relates to a protection device for a DC electric grid. The protection device comprises a first terminal for coupling to a first branch portion of an electric grid and a second terminal for coupling to a second branch portion of an electric grid. The protection device further comprises a switching assembly including one or more switching devices and a magnetic device electrically connected in series with said switching assembly between the first and second terminals of said protection device. The magnetic device has an inductance value that can vary in operation depending on the current flowing through said protection device.
