Method for preparing NdFeB magnets including lanthanum or cerium
The disclosure refers to a method for preparing NdFeB magnets including at least one of Ce and La. The method includes:
S1) Separately preparing flakes of alloy R1 and flakes of alloy R2 each by a strip casting process, wherein the alloy R1 includes at least one of La and Ce, but the alloy R2 does not include La and Ce;
S2) separately subjecting the flakes of alloy R1 and R2 to a hydrogen embrittlement process followed by pulverizing the process product to alloy powders by jet milling, wherein a ratio of the average particle sizes D50 of the powder of alloy R1 and R2 satisfied formula:
0.32≤R2/R1≤0.66;
S3) mixing the powder of alloy R1 and R2; and
S4) subjecting the mixed powders to molding and magnetic field orientation, cold isostatic pressing, sintering, and an annealing process.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PRODUCING MAGNETIC MATERIAL
Embodiments relate to systems and methods for producing magnetic material. The method includes providing a mixture of alloys. The composition of alloy are not particularly limited. The method includes melting the mixture of alloys to arrive at a molten mixture of alloys. The method includes performing a melt-spinning process to rapidly solidify the molten mixture of alloys via a rotatable wheel to arrive at a preliminary metallic ribbon. The preliminary metallic ribbon having an elongated flat body with a bottom side and a top side, the top side opposite to the bottom side. The method includes performing a grain size refinement and uniformity process, the grain size refinement and uniformity process including delivering a first coolant directly to at least a central region of the top side and/or bottom side of the preliminary metallic ribbon to arrive at a final metallic ribbon.
Caster assembly
A caster assembly configured to process and store a material includes a reaction chamber, a storage assembly configured to store material processed in the reaction chamber, and a blower configured to process and store the material. The reaction chamber includes a vessel configured to hold the material in a melted state prior to processing and a powder generating assembly configured to receive the material from the melting vessel. The powder generating assembly includes a feeding chamber and a feeding device disposed at least partially within the feeding chamber. The feeding device includes at least one nozzle configured to inject inert fluid, where the fluid is a gas, liquid, or combination of the two into the feeding chamber and a material inlet through which the material is configured to flow into the feeding chamber to be exposed to the inert fluid, where the fluid is a gas, liquid, or combination of the two.
METHOD FOR IMPROVING MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF CERIUM-YTTRIUM-RICH RARE EARTH PERMANENT MAGNET
A method for improving magnetic properties of a Ce—Y-rich rare earth permanent magnet is provided, and the Ce—Y-rich rare earth permanent magnet is subjected to pressurized heat treatment to improve magnetic properties. The method includes: preparing a pristine magnet through a sintering process; and placing the pristine magnet into a pressurized heat treatment device and performing pressurized heat treatment under the protection of an argon atmosphere. By regulating parameters such as pressure, temperature and holding time in the heat treatment process, element diffusion in the Ce—Y-rich permanent magnet is promoted, and coercivity, remanence, magnetic energy product and temperature stability of the Ce—Y-rich permanent magnet are improved. The method has advantages of a simple process with low energy consumption, a substitution amount of rare earths Ce—Y up to 90 wt % while having excellent magnetic performance, so that a way for efficient utilization of high-abundance rare earths Ce and Y is provided.
METHOD FOR PREPARING HIGH-PERFORMANCE ANISOTROPIC RARE-EARTH-FREE PERMANENT MAGNETS
The present invention discloses a method for preparing high-performance anisotropic rare-earth-free permanent magnets, comprising the steps of: forming alloy ingots by melting according to a nominal composition of Mn.sub.xBi.sub.100-x, (45≤×≤55); then coarsely crushing the alloy ingots and passing the crushed material through a 100-mesh sieve to obtain coarse powder; putting an appropriate amount of Mn.sub.xBi.sub.100-x alloy coarse powder obtained into a ball-milling tank together with non-magnetic steel balls, with a ratio of ball to powder of 10:1; adding an appropriate amount of ethanol as solvent, and then adding a non-ionic surfactant polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) accounting for 5-15% of the power mass to assist in low-energy ball milling; washing the slurry obtained in anhydrous ethyl alcohol, and orientating and curing the washed magnetic powder in a magnetic field after adding binder to obtain high-performance anisotropic Mn—Bi alloy magnets finally.

An apparatus for assembling a repelling magnet combination, comprising a first and second magnet, a first and second holding magnet, a first holding base with a first holding base first end, and a second holding base with a second holding base first end. The first and second holding magnets are positioned at the first and second holding base first ends, and the first and second magnets are magnetically attached to the first and second holding magnets respectively, with outward faces exhibiting like magnetic polarities. The first and second magnets are brought into contact by moving the first and second holding base first ends into close proximity, whereby the first and second holding magnets exert holding forces on the first and second magnets which overcome a repelling force generated therebetween, allowing a repelling force countering means, such as an adhesive, to bond the magnets together into a repelling magnet combination.
STIRRING PROCESS AND STIRRING SYSTEM FOR NEODYMIUM-IRON-BORON POWDER AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING NEODYMIUM-IRON-BORON MAGNETIC STEEL
Disclosed are a stirring process and a stirring system for a neodymium-iron-boron powder and a process for manufacturing a neodymium-iron-boron magnetic steel. The stirring process for the neodymium-iron-boron powder mainly comprises the following aeration, feeding and stirring. Specifically, the aeration refers to filling a mixer with nitrogen and/or an inert gas, with the internal space of the mixer closed; the feeding refers to placing a neodymium-iron-boron powder to be stirred into the mixer and keeping the internal space of the mixer closed; and the stirring refers to introducing the mixer with a pulsed air stream, which is an intermittently jetted air stream formed by nitrogen and/or an inert gas, and by which the neodymium-iron-boron powder can be repeatedly blown up and down to mix and stir the neodymium-iron-boron powder.
Device and method for continuously performing grain boundary diffusion and heat treatment
Disclosed are a device and method for continuously performing grain boundary diffusion and heat treatment, characterized in that the alloy workpiece or the metal workpiece are arranged in a relatively independent processing box together with a diffusion source; the device comprises, in successive arrangement, a grain boundary diffusion chamber, a first cooling chamber, a heat treatment chamber, and a second cooling chamber, and a transfer system provided between various chambers for delivering the processing box; each of the first cooling chamber and the second cooling chamber uses an air cooling system, and the cooling air temperature of the first cooling chamber is above 25° C. and at least differs by 550° C. from the grain boundary diffusion temperature of the grain boundary diffusion chamber; the cooling air temperature of the second cooling chamber is above 25° C. and at least differs by 300° C. from the heat treatment temperature of the heat treatment chamber; and the cooling chamber has a pressure of 50 kPa to 100 kPa. The device provided by the present invention can increase the cooling rate and production efficiency, and improve product consistency.
SELECTIVE SUPERPARAMAGNETIC SINTERING AND AN INK SUITABLE THEREFOR
Methods can be used for producing three-dimensional objects by powder bed fusion, using inks containing superparamagnetic particles and solvents. Sintering is performed by a magnetic field having a frequency of 50 kHz to 5 GHz.
MAGNET MANUFACTURING DEVICE
A magnet manufacturing device includes a heater, a nozzle, a magnetic field application magnet and a stage. The heater heats a mixture of magnetic particles and a resin material. The nozzle has an internal flow passage that conducts the mixture while the resin material is molten. The nozzle has a discharge port which discharges the mixture and thereby forms each of a plurality of filaments. The magnetic field application magnet applies a magnetic field to the internal flow passage. The stage has a stage surface on which the plurality of filaments are placed. The discharge port is relatively movable with respect to the stage surface such that the plurality of filaments are stacked to form an arbitrary shape.
