An oxygen generating electrode includes a conductive layer; a photocatalyst layer; and a light absorption. The light-absorbing layer arranged between the conductive layer and the photocatalyst layer. The light-absorbing layer is formed of one or a plurality of perovskite-type films, and each of the films contains tin (Sn), oxygen (O), sulfur (S), and one or more elements selected from Group 1 or Group 2 of the periodic table of elements. Each of the films formed by doping S for substituting an O site is set so that a band gap takes a predetermined value in a range between 0 eV to 4 eV.

A bifacial light-harvesting dye-sensitized solar cell is provided and has: a first transparent substrate, a second transparent substrate, a working electrode, a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, a third semiconductor layer, a counter electrode, a light-transmitting catalyst layer, and a liquid electrolyte. A photoelectric conversion efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell is improved by using a specific working electrode structure.

The solar cell system can also include a reflective element disposed in the glass housing and facing the rear side of the set of rows of solar cells and a first terminal coupled to a first end of the set of rows of solar cells, traversing through and sealed against the first end of the glass housing. The solar cell system can be configured with other solar cell systems into the flexible solar panel that is deployable in a wide range of potential applications.

The organic structure includes a plurality of organic molecules self-assembled by non-covalent bonding. Each of the unit organic molecules has an aromatic ring, a first pair of substituents being connected to immediately adjacent positions of substitutable positions of the aromatic ring, and a second pair of substituents being connected to immediately adjacent positions of remaining substitutable positions of the aromatic ring. The unit organic molecules are self-assembled by van der Waals interaction, London dispersion interaction or hydrogen bonding between the first and the second pairs of the substituents and by pi-pi interactions between the aromatic rings.
