20230106459 · 2023-04-06 · ·

In one embodiment, an infusion set and sensor assembly delivered within a subject is disclosed. The assembly includes a cannula that is terminated at a cannula opening. The assembly further includes a sharp that is at least partially within the hollow of the cannula. A sensor having a proximal end and a distal end is also included in the assembly. The proximal end of the sensor is held in a fixed location while the distal end is retained with a portion of the cannula. The sensor further includes sensor slack, wherein transitioning the sharp from a first position to a second position simultaneously inserts the cannula and sensor to a desired insertion depth within a subject via a single point of insertion.

Fluid infusion systems

A fluid infusion system includes a housing configured to be adhesively coupled to an anatomy of the user. The housing comprises a communication device configured to wirelessly communicate a physiological characteristic to a communication component of a fluid infusion device. The fluid infusion system includes a fluid flow path from the fluid infusion device into the anatomy of the user, and the fluid flow path is configured to extend from the housing for insertion into the anatomy of the user.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING FLUID TO THE INNER EAR

A device (10) to deliver fluid to an ear includes: a handle portion (12) including a proximal end and a distal end; a needle sub-assembly (26) coupled to the distal end of the handle portion (12) and including a bent needle (38); and tubing (36) coupled to the proximal end of the handle portion (12). The bent needle (38) extends through the handle portion (12) and fluidly connects directly to the tubing (36).

LOCALIZATION NEEDLE

A medical tracking system includes a percutaneous needle, a localization element and a navigation system is disclosed. The percutaneous needle has an elongate shaft extending between a proximal end portion, which is attached to a handle, and distal end portion that terminates at a distal tip. An inner surface of the elongate shaft defines a working channel that extends from a port at the proximal end portion to the distal tip. The localization element is incorporated into the elongate shaft distal from the handle and proximate the distal end portion. The navigation system is configured for tracking the localization element and to provide a real-time display of a position and orientation of the distal tip relative to an anatomy of a patient.

Systems and Methods For Correcting and Preventing Occlusion in a Catheter

A patency device for catheter assemblies and other elongate tubular devices used for establishing access to an interior body portion of a patient is disclosed. The patency device establishes and preserves patency of one or more lumens defined by the catheter assembly by providing impulses of positive pressure to fluid disposed in the lumen of the catheter assembly. In one embodiment, the patency device comprises a fluid reservoir configured to provide a fluid path to at least one lumen of the catheter assembly, and a pressure input portion. The pressure input portion is configured to provide pressure for one or more impulses of positive pressure to a fluid disposed within the lumen. The impulses are configured to dislodge occlusions that may have formed in the lumen. A negative pressure can then be provided to the lumen to aspirate the occlusion.

System and method for collection confirmation and sample tracking at the clinical point of use

A system for confirming acquisition of a fluid sample is provided. The system includes a wearable electronic device configured to be worn by a user. The device has a housing, at least one imaging sensor associated with the housing, a data transmission interface for sending data to or receiving data from an external electronic device, a microprocessor for managing the at least one imaging sensor and the data transmission interface, and a program for acquiring and processing images acquired by the at least one imaging sensor. The system further includes a sampling device for collecting a fluid sample in a sample container and at least one identification tag attached to or integrally formed with the sampling device or sample container. The at least one identification tag includes or is associated with a tracking code.

An infusion device. The infusion device includes a top portion comprising an introduction needle, and a bottom portion comprising a cannula, the top portion removably attached to the bottom portion, wherein the introduction needle is used to insert the cannula, and wherein after insertion, the top portion is removed from the bottom portion.

Introducer needle with notches for improved flashback

An introducer needle may include a proximal end, a distal tip, and a needle lumen extending therebetween. The introducer needle may include a wall defining the needle lumen, a first notch formed through the wall, and a second notch formed through the wall. A catheter system may include a catheter adapter, a catheter extending distally from the distal end of the catheter adapter, a flash chamber coupled to the introducer needle, and the introducer needle, which may extend through the catheter. The first and second notches and the flash chamber may facilitate pressure-driven blood flow into the catheter for improved flashback and detection of transfixation when the catheter is primed prior to insertion into vasculature of a patient or otherwise.
