The system further comprises an accelerometer mounted to circuit breaker, control unit for receiving signals from light detection device and from accelerometer, the control unit being configured to determine the travel curve based on the detected modulated light and on the detected vibration signal, the vibration signal being employed to identify a change of direction of movement of the moving part.

We also disclose a device for securing the polymer consisting of a retention frame with half shear retainers that keep the polymer locked in place.

The present disclosure provides a contact monitoring device for a vacuum circuit breaker. The contact monitoring device is provided in a vacuum circuit breaker comprising: a vacuum interrupter having a fixed electrode which is fixed in an insulating container and is provided with a fixed contact at one end, and a movable electrode which is installed in the insulating container to be able to be lifted or lowered wherein the vacuum interrupter is provided with a movable contact at one end, the movable contact contacting or being separated from the fixed contact when the movable electrode is lifted or lowered; and a push rod assembly which is coupled to the other end of the movable electrode and lifts or lowers the movable electrode. In addition, the present disclosure provides a vacuum circuit breaker having the contact monitoring device.
Gas insulated switching device and camera system for optical check of switching position in the switching device
A gas insulated switching device with a gastight housing, with switching elements mounted in the housing, having an optical window on which an external camera can be positioned outside the housing on a support element in such, that the contacts and/or the contact positions of one or more switches can be displayed by this camera on a display screen, and with a switchable light source, which illuminates the area the camera is focused on to display the contact positions of one or more switches, as well as a camera system having the switching device. For easier and more cost effective use of a camera system, considering that direct optical control of specific switch positions are often not desired, the camera may be portable and/or positionable only temporarily, and the support element and the camera itself are provided with complementary elements for temporarily positioning the portable camera to the support.
Medium voltage switching or controlgear monitoring system
A medium voltage switchgear or controlgear monitoring system includes: an infrared camera; and a processing unit. The infrared camera is mounted within a medium voltage switchgear or controlgear. The infrared camera is configured to acquires an infrared image including image data of two or three current carrying parts of the switchgear or control gear. The two or three current carrying parts are the same current carry part of two or three equivalent systems within the switchgear or controlgear. The infrared camera provides the infrared image to the processing unit. The processing unit determines that the two or three current carrying parts are operating correctly or that one of the two or three current carrying parts has a fault. The determination includes analysis of the infrared image by an autoencoder implemented by the processing unit.
