ELECTRICAL SWITCHING APPARATUS AND CLINCH JOINT ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
A movable contact assembly for an electrical switching apparatus is provided. The movable contact assembly includes a number of shunts, and, a carriage assembly including two sidewalls and a contact arm assembly. The carriage assembly sidewalls are disposed in a spaced relation. The contact arm assembly includes a plurality of contact arms, a number of isolation members, a number of movable contacts, and an axle. Each contact arm defines an opening, One movable contact is disposed on each contact arm. Each contact arm is rotatably coupled to the axle with the axle extending through the contact arm opening. Each isolation member is disposed adjacent at least one contact arm. Each isolation member is coupled to, and in electrical communication with the adjacent contact arm. The shunts are coupled to, and in electrical communication with, the isolation members. In this configuration, no shunt operatively engages a contact arm.
Modular solid dielectric switchgear
Modular switchgear and methods for manufacturing the same. The modular switchgear includes a vacuum interrupter assembly, a source conductor assembly, and a housing assembly. The vacuum interrupter assembly includes a bushing, a fitting, and a vacuum interrupter at least partially molded within the bushing and including a movable contact and a stationary contact. The source conductor assembly includes a bushing, a fitting, and a source conductor molded within the bushing. The housing assembly includes a housing defining a chamber and a drive shaft and conductor positioned within the chamber. The housing assembly also includes a first receptacle for receiving the fitting of the vacuum interrupter assembly and a second receptacle for receiving the fitting of the source conductor assembly. The vacuum interrupter assembly, the source conductor assembly, and the housing assembly are coupled without molding the assemblies within a common housing.
Circuit-breaker pole part with a flexible conductor for connecting a movable electrical contact
The disclosure relates to a pole part of a circuit-breaker arrangement having an insulation housing for accommodating a vacuum interrupter containing a pair of corresponding electrical switching contacts, wherein a fixed upper electrical contact is connected to an upper electrical terminal molded or assembled in the insulation housing and a movable lower electrical contact is connected to the insulating housing by a support plate of the insulation housing via a flexible conductor that includes a first end for attaching the flexible conductor to the lower electrical terminal and a second end for attaching the flexible conductor to the movable lower electrical contact. The second end of the flexible conductor is provided with an inside thread which is screwed to an outside thread arranged on the distal end of the movable lower electrical contact.

Connection apparatus usable in vacuum interrupter
An improved connection apparatus that meets these and other needs includes, in one embodiment, an approximately J-shaped flexible conductor having at its end an opening that receives therethrough a portion of the shank for mechanical and electrical connection therebetween. The conductor further includes a hole formed therein at approximately its midpoint that receives therein, in a movable and non-contacting fashion, another portion of the elongated shank. In another pair of embodiments, another connection apparatus includes a flexible conductor that is co-formed with a rigid conductor to form a single piece unitary element. The free end of the flexible conductor is connected with the movable shank, and the rigid conductor is connectable with the primary conductor of the circuit. By providing the flexible conductor and the rigid conductor as a co-formed unit, a detachable fastener need not be employed to provide a connection therebetween, which reduces heat generation.

Electrical switching apparatus and retention system therefor
A retention system is for an electrical switching apparatus. The electrical switching apparatus includes a frame having a number of slots, a cover coupled to the frame, an electrical component enclosed by the frame and the cover, separable contacts enclosed by the frame and the cover, and an operating mechanism to open and close the separable contacts. The retention system includes: at least one bundle of wires having a plurality of individual wires extending through a corresponding one of the number of slots to be electrically connected to the electrical component; and at least one restriction mechanism each including an insulative sleeve surrounding a corresponding one of the at least one bundle of wires, and a blocking member connected to the insulative sleeve. The blocking member engages the frame to prevent undesired movement of the individual wires with respect to the corresponding one of the number of slots.
SWITCH INCORPORATING EQUIPOTENTIALLY CONNECTED CONTACTS AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A SWITCH
A switch capable of withstanding short-circuit currents without being destroyed or deteriorated by the passage of such high currents includes at least one fixed contact and at least one movable contact, wherein the movable contact is displaceable between a closed position of the switch in which the fixed and the movable contacts are electrically connected, and an open position of the switch in which the fixed and movable contacts are separated. The switch includes at least one equipotential connecting member electrically connecting the fixed contact and the movable contact in the closed position of the switch, such that the fixed and the movable contacts are at the same electric potential, and wherein at least a part of the equipotential connecting member is pressed against the fixed contact and/or the movable contact in the closed position of the switch.

The present disclosure provides a switching device, which includes an electricity leading member, a power transmission member, and a conductive connecting member. The first end of the electricity leading member is configured to be electrically connected with the power supply terminal, and the second end of the electricity leading member is provided with a first contact portion; the power transmission member is provided with a second contact portion, and the second contact portion is configured to contact and be electrically connected with the first contact portion; one end of the conductive connecting member is connected with the electricity leading member, the other end is connected with the power transmission member, the electricity leading member is electrically connected with the power transmission member through the conductive connecting member.
