Infusion pump device
An infusion pump device comprises a pumping means having a fluid inlet which is adapted to be connected to a vial for taking fluid out of the vial and a fluid outlet which is adapted to be connected to an infusion catheter, and a controlling means which is adapted to be connected to the vial and to control pressure inside the vial so as to avoid occurrence of underpressure at the fluid inlet.
GAS REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHODS
This disclosure is directed to devices and fluid delivery systems for separating a gas from a fluid. The device includes a filter and a body. The body defines an interior and the filter is within the interior and segments the interior into a first chamber and a second chamber. The device includes an inlet for communicating the fluid into the first chamber; a first outlet for communicating the fluid out of the first chamber; and a second outlet for communicating the gas out of the second chamber. The filter is impermeable to liquid and isolates the second chamber from liquid. The filter is permeable to gas and permits the gas to flow from the first chamber to the second chamber to separate the gas from the liquid of the fluid.
GAS REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHODS
This disclosure is directed to devices and fluid delivery systems for separating a gas from a fluid. A fluid source contains a fluid having a liquid and a gas. A fluid destination receives fluid from the fluid source. Supply lines fluidly connect the fluid source to the fluid destination and convey the fluid from the fluid source to the fluid destination at a flow rate. A gas removal device is fluidly connected to the supply lines between the fluid source and the fluid destination. The gas removal device separates the gas from the fluid without restricting the flow rate of the fluid through the supply lines.
Fluid filtration device and system
A medical fluid filter system is provided comprising a housing having: a liquid trap chamber having a volume; a filter media chamber; a filter media arranged within the filter media chamber; the liquid trap chamber having a liquid trap outlet port in fluid communication with the filter media chamber; the liquid trap outlet port configured and arranged within the liquid trap chamber to inhibit flow of liquid from the liquid trap chamber to the filter media chamber and configured and arranged to allow gas to flow from the liquid trap chamber to the filter media chamber; a filter system inlet passing through the housing for intake of fluid originating from a surgical site; and a filter system outlet passing through the housing for fluid exhaust.
Filter-integrated medicine transfer device and medicinal liquid injection apparatus including the same
A channel for a medicinal liquid is formed in a filter-integrated medicine transfer device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The filter-integrated medicine transfer device includes: a housing having an air passage that diverges from a medicinal liquid channel and is connected to outside; at least one hydrophobic air-passing filter disposed in the housing and disposed at a boundary between the air passage and the medicinal liquid channel; and at least one medicine transfer pipe disposed in the housing and having a capillary channel constituting a portion of the medicinal liquid channel.
INFUSION SET AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
An infusion set for subcutaneous infusion of a therapeutic agent into a patient, the infusion set comprising: an infusion hub comprising: a casing; a cannula for insertion into a patient; a fluid transfer part connected to the casing in fluid communication with the cannula; and, a tubing connector configured to engage the fluid transfer part and connectable to tubing for receiving a therapeutic agent from a pump; an adaptor comprising: an upstream end connectable to the tubing; and, a downstream end connectable to the fluid transfer part; wherein the cannula defines a downstream end of a fluid flow path extending between a pump and the patient via the adaptor; and, wherein the adaptor comprises a filter disposed in the fluid flow path between the upstream end and the downstream end.
INTRAVENOUS FILTER AIR VENT MEDIA PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT
An intravenous (IV) medication filter device can include a housing having a medication inlet, a medication outlet, and a gas vent. The filter device can include a hydrophobic gas filter inside the housing between the inlet and the gas vent and between the gas vent and the outlet. The hydrophobic gas filter can prevent medication received into the housing via the inlet from existing the housing via the gas vent. The hydrophobic gas filter can permit gas in the housing to exit the housing through the hydrophobic gas filter via the gas vent. The vent hole can have a shape that prevents sterilizing radiation directed at the gas vent from reaching the hydrophobic gas filter. Optionally, a porous plug may be inserted into the gas vent and/or a radiation shroud may be positioned over the gas vent to protect the gas vent from being damaged by the sterilizing radiation.
Drip chamber insert for automatically reducing fluid flow rate at infusion completion to keep vein open
A drip chamber insert may include an elongate body portion comprising an upper surface, and a base portion positioned downstream of the elongate body portion for coupling to a drip chamber. The base portion may have an upper surface and a lower surface defining an outlet orifice of the drip chamber insert. The drip chamber insert may further include a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber may be disposed in the elongate body portion and fluidly coupled to the upper surface of the elongate body portion via an inlet orifice and to the outlet orifice via the base portion. An anti-run-dry membrane may be disposed on the upper surface of the elongate body portion extending over the inlet orifice. The second chamber may be disposed in the elongate body portion extending from the upper surface of the elongate body portion to the base portion. A low flowrate orifice may extend from a base of the second chamber into the base portion for fluidly coupling the second chamber with the outlet orifice.
FILTER MODULE
The present disclosure relates to a filter module for a medical fluid delivery system capable of removing cytokine inducing substances (CIS) from a medical fluid.
Syringe filter
A syringe filter for containing a filter membrane is disclosed and includes first and second fluid distribution surfaces configured to be positioned on opposing sides of a membrane. An inlet port is in fluid communication with the first fluid distribution surface and a first plurality of distribution pathways formed on the first fluid distribution surface. An outlet port is in fluid communication with the second fluid distribution surface and a second plurality of distribution pathways formed on the second fluid distribution surface. The first plurality of distribution pathways is configured to distribute fluid flow from the inlet port to one side of the membrane while the second plurality of distribution pathways is configured to direct fluid flow from another side of the membrane to the outlet port.
