A safety switch (1) having an input/output structure and means for generating a switching signal. Depending on the switching signal, the operation of the system can be released. The input/output structure forms means of connection for connecting a start button (5). By manually actuating the start button (5), an acknowledgment signal for releasing the system is generated. The means of connection are detected automatically in the safety switch (1).

Switch with accidental shut off alarm
10438755 · 2019-10-08 ·

A switch that is designed for use as an emergency shut off for heating, air conditioning (AC) systems or appliances is provided, but is certainly not limited to these specific applications and has applications in many other fields. The switch is configured with one or more indicators (visual and/or audible) configured to indicate when the switch has been manually turned off, even though power to the switch is still active. In this manner when the switch has been accidentally or inadvertently turned off by an unsuspecting user, they will be notified that the connected appliance (e.g. heating or AC system) has also been turned off.

The invention relates to an emergency stop device, comprising: an electric module suited to being soldered onto a printed circuit board (PCB), comprising a body, at least two fixed contacts arranged in the body and at least one contact actuator bearing a moveable contact able to connect said fixed contacts electrically, an actuating module suited to being mechanically coupled to the electric module and to being mounted on a panel (P), the actuating module comprising a body and an actuator moveable with respect to the body, the body comprising a so-called rear part able to extend through the panel (P) on a side opposite to the actuator and to receive the electric module, the actuating module being able to be actuated by an operator between the following positions: a rest position in which the moveable contact ensures an electrical connection between the fixed contacts, and an activated position in which the actuator exerts a depression force on the contact actuator so as to break the electrical connection between the fixed contacts.
Said device comprises a locking system configured to secure in a reversible manner the mechanical coupling of the electric module to the actuating module.

Monitored adaptable emergency off-switch

An emergency off-switch for triggering an emergency switch-off function has an actuator and two electrical contact points that can be disconnected from one another by the actuator. The emergency off-switch has an active operating state in which the emergency switch-off function can be triggered by moving the actuator, and a passive operating state in which the emergency off-switch is functionless. The emergency off-switch further has a visualization unit having at least a first and a second display state. The emergency off-switch is visually highlighted in the first display state, and the emergency off-switch is neutrally represented in the second display state. The visualization unit adopts the first display state in the active operating state and adopts the second display state in the passive operating state. The emergency off-switch also has a monitoring unit which monitors whether the visualization unit is in the first or in the second display state.
