A keyboard structure and assembling method thereof are provided. The keyboard structure includes a baseplate, a keycap and a frame having a hook body. The keycap can be inserted into the frame and restricted by the hook body, so that the range of movement of the keycap is restricted. The keycap cannot be separated from the frame so that the coupling of the frame and the baseplate is not interfered by the keycap. Thus, the present invention can effectively simplify the assembling process of the keyboard.

A cap structure is combined with a lifting mechanism to be movable between a pressed position and a non-pressed position. The cap structure includes a first circuit, a second circuit, a flexible circuit board and a cap having a top surface, a bottom surface and an engaging structure. The engaging structure protrudes from the bottom surface for engaging with the lifting mechanism. The first circuit is laid out on the top surface for connecting to a sensing device or a display device attached on the top surface. The second circuit is laid out on the bottom surface and avoids the engaging structure. The second circuit passes through the cap to be connected to the first circuit. The flexible circuit board is connected to the second circuit for performing signal transmission of the sensing device or the display device via the first and second circuits.

KEY STRUCTURE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A key structure of an electronic device includes a connecting portion and a key portion. The connecting portion includes two electrode plates cooperatively defining an accommodating space. The key portion, when pressed, is moved toward the accommodating space and partially received within the accommodating space, thereby changing a capacitance between the two electrode plates. The key portion partially protrudes from the housing.

Button features and architecture of a portable electronic device

An electronic device having a button assembly fitted with an enclosure of the electronic device is disclosed. The button assembly may include a button connected to a first protrusion and a second protrusion, both of which extend through a first through hole and a second through hole, respectively, of the enclosure. The electronic device may include a liquid-resistant electronic device. The button assembly may include sealing elements fitted on the protrusions to plug, or seal, the through holes. The button assembly may include a clip that secures the button assembly with the enclosure. The button assembly may include a bar secured with the first protrusion and the second protrusion. When an off-center force is applied to an end of the button, the bar is designed to distribute the force so that the other end of the button is actuated and the button remains generally parallel with respect to the enclosure.
