Tactile switch for an electronic device

An electronic watch may include a tactile switch and/or one or more sensors for detecting rotational and translational inputs. The watch may include a display configured to produce graphical outputs that may change in response to rotational inputs, translational inputs, and/or touch inputs received at the display. The watch include a crown positioned along an exterior of the watch enclosure and a shaft coupled to the crown and extending into the enclosure. The tactile switch and/or the one or more sensors may be used to detect rotational and/or translational inputs provided at the crown.

Thin keyboard switch

A thin keyboard switch includes a keycap, a housing, an elastic body, an elastic contact body, a balancing frame, and a base disposed on a printed circuit board (PCB). A base groove fitting with the elastic contact body is provided at the center of the base, the elastic contact body is disposed at the bottom portion inside the base groove, and the elastic contact body is electrically connected to the PCB. The housing and the base are disposed in a tightly gripping manner. The elastic body protrudes from the housing and is connected to the keycap, and the keycap is mounted on the balancing frame.

Using organic light emitting diode (OLED) film to illuminate keycaps of keys in a keyboard

In some examples, a housing may include a keyboard having a plurality of keys. An individual key of the plurality of keys may include a keycap, an organic light emitting diode (OLED) film (or sheet), a key mechanism, and a base. When power is provided to contacts on the base of the individual key, the power may travel across conductive traces (or wires) in the key mechanism to pads on the OLED film, causing the OLED film to emit light. The light from the OLED film may illuminate a character or symbol embedded into the keycap or the OLED film may be shaped into the character or the symbol and embedded into the keycap. The housing may be (i) separate from and communicatively coupled to a second housing that includes one or more processors or (ii) physically attached to a display device as part of a laptop device.

RESILIENT ELEMENT AND KEYBOARD STRUCTURE

A resilient element and a keyboard structure are disclosed. The resilient element has a top surface, a dent portion and a conducting post. The dent portion is located on the top surface and has an accommodating space. The conducting post has a post volume and is located beneath the dent portion. When the conducting post is pressed, at least a portion of the post volume enters the accommodating space.

LUMINOUS KEYBOARD
20190172663 · 2019-06-06 ·

A luminous keyboard includes a key module, a light guide plate, a top-view light-emitting element and a light-shading element. The top-view light-emitting element emits a light beam. The light guide plate is located under the key module. The top-view light-emitting element is located under the light guide plate. A light-outputting surface of the top-view light-emitting element is contacted with the light guide plate. The light-shading element is disposed on the light guide plate for shading the light beam. A portion of the light-shading element is inserted into the light guide plate opening and formed as a reflective part in the light guide plate opening. After the light beam is projected on the reflective part and reflected by the reflective part, the light beam is transferred within the light guide plate and projected to the key module.
