The device may include a cover plate can be secured with a display in the top portion to cover the retention member and other internal components. The device can include an omni-directional port designed to receive a connector different orientations and provide power to the device. The device can include a flexible keyboard having butterfly keycaps. The device can include an array of openings for an audio driver, with some of the array including through holes and blind holes. The device can also include a touch pad having a force feedback sensor and a haptic device.

Venting system and shield for keyboard

A venting system for a keyboard assembly is disclosed. A keyboard assembly including a printed circuit board defining a set of apertures, and a group of switch housings coupled to the printed circuit board. Each switch housing of the group of switch housings may define a switch opening positioned above one of the set of apertures of the printed circuit board. The keyboard assembly may also include a shield defining at least one channel of a venting system formed below the printed circuit board. The at least one channel may be in fluid communication with at least one aperture, and at least one of the switch openings positioned above the at least one aperture.

A keyboard including: a key top; a slide member that is attached to the key top, slides up and down, and presses a contact via an elastic member; a non-slide member that is attached to the key top, and never moves up and down; supporters that support the slide member and the non-slide member, respectively; wherein the slide member is restrained by the key top in a first direction, and is movable in a second direction vertical to the first direction, and the non-slide member is arranged diagonally with the slide member, is movable in the first direction, and is restrained by the key top in the second direction.

Key and switch housing for keyboard assembly

A key and a switch housing for a keyboard assembly is disclosed. A switch housing for the keyboard assembly may include a body having a switch opening and a light source recess formed adjacent the switch opening. The switch opening may house or receive a dome switch for the keyboard assembly and the light source recess may house or receive a light source assembly configured to illuminate a keycap of the keyboard assembly. The switch housing also can include a top panel integrally formed and molded to a portion of the body. The top panel covers the switch opening formed in the body and the top panel is a light guide.

A balance mechanism (180) and a keyboard switch (100) including the balance mechanism (180) are provided. The balance mechanism (180) comprises a first frame (181) and a second frame (182) rotatable relative to each other, which are both of hollow structures with matched shapes and sizes. When the first frame (181) and the second frame (182) are in a superimposed state, a dynamic contact (130) and a static contact (120) are electrically connected. A relative rotation between the first frame (181) and the second frame (182) drives the moving contact (130) to move, achieving separation and contact between the dynamic contact (130) and the static contact (120), thereby turning on and off the switch. The keyboard switch (100) is thin, thus achieving miniaturization of the switch; the switch prevents a guide core (160) from tilting and being stuck in the button, which is convenient for operation.

A kill switch including a switch assembly. When the switch assembly moves from a switch first configuration to a switch second configuration with the switch assembly operatively connected to a controller of a tractor, a kill electrical signal is provided to the controller to stop the tractor powering a power take-off thereof. A cord is securable to the switch assembly and to the piece of machinery to extend along a rotary drive shaft between the tractor and the piece of machinery. A switch actuating element extends from the cord, the switch actuating element being removably securable to the switch assembly. In the switch first configuration with the switch actuating element secured to the switch assembly, the switch actuating element maintains the switch assembly in the switch first configuration. When the switch actuating element is removed from the actuating element receiving portion, the switch assembly moves to the switch second configuration.

A key switch includes a baseplate, a circuit layer, a keycap and a support rod. The baseplate has a hook and a first through hole neighboring to the hook. The circuit layer includes a plurality of superimposed sublayers disposed above the baseplate and having a through hole structure passing through the sublayers; a portion of one of the sublayers extends in the through hole structure over the first through hole and forms a resilient portion neighboring to the hook. Two sides of the resilient portion connect to the circuit layer. The keycap is disposed above the baseplate and can move upward and downward in respect to the baseplate. The support rod has a first portion, movably connecting to the keycap, and a second portion, engaged with the hook. The resilient portion extends beneath and abuts against the second portion for buffering a collision between the second portion and the baseplate.
