LUMINOUS KEYBOARD
20180254156 · 2018-09-06 ·

The present invention provides a luminous keyboard, including a key, a ring-shaped shading element, and a light source. The ring-shaped shading element is disposed between the key and the light source and is configured to shade light generated by the light source. When the key is pressed down, the key presses down the ring-shaped shading element and enables the ring-shaped shading element to be deformed, so as to prevent the ring-shaped shading element from affecting strokes of the key.

A key switch includes a baseplate, a circuit layer, a keycap and a support rod. The baseplate has a hook and a first through hole neighboring to the hook. The circuit layer includes a first sublayer disposed above the baseplate and having a second through hole, and a second sublayer disposed above the first sublayer and having a third through hole; a portion of the second sublayer extends over the second through hole and forms a first resilient portion; the first resilient portion has four sides, two of which connect to the second sublayer; and the first resilient portion is neighboring to the hook. The keycap is disposed above the baseplate and can move upward and downward in respect to the baseplate. The support rod has a first portion and a second portion; the first portion movably connects to the keycap and the second portion engages the hook.

Multi-layer keycap

Embodiments describing a method of forming a multi-layered keycap structure are disclosed herein. The method includes forming a first polymer layer on a second polymer layer, wherein the first polymer layer includes a first color and the second polymer layer includes a second color, and coupling the first polymer layer and second polymer layer to a substrate layer such that the first polymer layer is closer to the substrate than the second polymer layer. The method may further include forming a third polymer layer on the second polymer layer; and etching the multi-layered keycap structure to form an opening having a bottom surface that exposes at least one of the first or second color.

PROTECTING COVER AND KEYBOARD

The present invention relates to a protecting cover which covers a plurality of key caps of a keyboard. The protecting cover includes a connection pad and a plurality of cover bodies, where the connection pad is provided on a bottom plate of the keyboard. The cover body is provided on the connection pad and is covered at the corresponding key cap. The cover body includes an upper cover portion and a side wall portion. The upper cover portion covers an upper surface of the key cap, and the side wall portion surrounds the upper cover portion and covers a side edge of the key cap. Thickness of the side wall portion is smaller than thickness of the key cap, so that the side wall portion may be merely slightly deformed, so as to reduce a degree for the side wall portion to be squeezed.
