An electrical switchgear includes: a housing; at least one first contact mounted in the housing; at least one second contact translationally movable within the housing in a translational movement direction; a switchgear control mechanism having a first rotary element having a first rotation axis and a second rotary element having a second rotation axis; and a link element pivoted on one end thereof to the first rotary element and on an other end thereof to the at least one second contact. The first and the second rotation axes are arranged substantially perpendicular to each other. The second rotation axis is arranged essentially in parallel to the translational movement direction of the at least one second contact. The first and the second rotary elements engage such that a rotation of the second rotary element is transmitted to the first rotary element.

An electrical switch for interrupting a current path. The switch includes a contact point formed from a first and a second contact piece mounted such that it can move about a rotation axis. The contact point is closed when the two contact pieces are in contact and is electrically opened when the two contact pieces are not in contact. The electrical switch includes an actuator unit and an electrically non-conductive separating element which can be moved in a translatory manner by means of the actuator unit and is designed to isolate the two contact pieces and then to keep the two contact pieces apart. The actuator unit includes a movement element mechanically coupled to the separating element, a drive device designed to move the movement element in order to close the contact point, a device for generating and/or storing kinetic energy and an electromagnetic actuator.

Tensioning gear mechanism for tensioning a stored-energy spring of a spring-type stored-energy drive

A charging mechanism charges a stored-energy spring of a stored-energy spring mechanism. The charging mechanism contains a charging gear coupled to the stored-energy spring, an intermediate shaft coupled to the charging gear, an idler gear, a freewheel coupled to the idler gear, a locking mechanism for releasably locking the charging gear in a charged state of the stored-energy spring, and a dog clutch that couples the freewheel to the intermediate shaft to charge the stored-energy spring and uncouples same from the intermediate shaft in the charged state of the stored-energy spring. The dog clutch contains a first clutch block that is non-rotatably coupled to the intermediate shaft, a second clutch block connected to the freewheel, and a synchronizer ring disposed between the clutch blocks and is non-rotatably coupled to the first clutch block, the synchronizer ring is pressed against the second clutch block when the dog clutch is closed.

TRANSFER SWITCH CONTACTOR MECHANISM

An automatic transfer switch includes a motor and a drive shaft rotatable by the motor. The automatic transfer switch includes a gear rotatable by the drive shaft. The gear has a plurality of teeth offset from a central axis of the gear and the teeth are engageable by the drive shaft. The automatic transfer switch includes a pin attached to, and movable with, the gear. The pin is offset from the central axis of the gear. The automatic transfer switch includes a bracket rotatable around the central axis of the gear and connected to an output shaft. The bracket is rotatable separately from the gear. Upon rotation of the bracket, the output shaft rotates. The bracket has at least a first source position and a second source position and the first and second source positions are different. The automatic transfer switch includes a chargeable motivator that has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the pin and the second end is connected to a portion of the bracket offset from the central axis. The chargeable motivator is at least partially charged upon movement of the pin to motivate the movement of the bracket between the first and second source positions. The automatic transfer switch includes a module connected to the output shaft. The module includes at least one movable electrical contact and the at least one electrical contact moves upon rotation of the output shaft.

TRANSFER SWITCH CONTACTOR MECHANISM

An automatic transfer switch includes a motor and a drive shaft rotatable by the motor. The automatic transfer switch includes a gear rotatable by the drive shaft. The gear has a plurality of teeth offset from a central axis of the gear and the teeth are engageable by the drive shaft. The automatic transfer switch includes a pin attached to, and movable with, the gear. The pin is offset from the central axis of the gear. The automatic transfer switch includes a bracket rotatable around the central axis of the gear and connected to an output shaft. The bracket is rotatable separately from the gear. Upon rotation of the bracket, the output shaft rotates. The bracket has at least a first source position and a second source position and the first and second source positions are different. The automatic transfer switch includes a chargeable motivator that has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the pin and the second end is connected to a portion of the bracket offset from the central axis. The chargeable motivator is at least partially charged upon movement of the pin to motivate the movement of the bracket between the first and second source positions. The automatic transfer switch includes a module connected to the output shaft. The module includes at least one movable electrical contact and the at least one electrical contact moves upon rotation of the output shaft.

A switching assembly is for an electrical switching apparatus of a switching system. The electrical switching apparatus includes a base. The switching system has a communication device. The switching assembly includes a number of contact assemblies coupled to the base, each of the contact assemblies having a stationary contact and a movable contact structured to move between a CLOSED position corresponding to engagement with the stationary contact, and an OPEN position corresponding to disengagement with the stationary contact; and a transfer assembly including an element and only one single actuator coupled to the element, the element being structured to be coupled to the base, the single actuator comprising a controller for receiving a signal from the communication device. The single actuator is structured to move the movable contact of each of the number of contact assemblies between the CLOSED position and the OPEN position.

Disconnect terminal

A disconnect terminal includes an enclosure, a first conductor rail, a second conductor rail, a switching device, and an actuation device. The switching device can be switched by the actuation device from a connecting position, in which the first conductor rail and the second conductor rail are electrically connected by the switching device into a disconnecting position in which the electrical connection of the first conductor rail and the second conductor rail is separated or disconnected, and back. A visible portion of the actuation device aligns with a surface of a portion of an upper side of the enclosure or with a part connected with the enclosure. In the disconnecting position, the visible portion of the actuation device protrudes from a surface of a portion of an upper side of the enclosure or of a part connected with the enclosure in a clearly visible manner. An assembly is provided of at least two aligned disconnect terminals.
