DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A drug delivery system includes a delivery container including a container body adapted to accommodate a drug therein, a supply line, a flow rate sensor, and a flow controller. The delivery container further includes an outlet port and is constructed from a resilient material. The container body is adapted to exert an urging force on the drug to expel the drug from the outlet port. The supply line is operably coupled to the outlet port to deliver the drug to a user. The flow sensor senses a flow rate of the drug within the supply line. The flow controller is configured to regulate a flow rate of the drug; the flow controller includes a supply line restrictor and a controller for adjusting the supply line restrictor between at least two settings.
INFUSION SYSTEM, ROTOR MODULE FOR USE IN SUCH AN INFUSION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A FLOW RATE OF AN INFUSION FLUID IN SUCH AN INFUSION SYSTEM
An infusion system includes a chamber for accommodating an infusion fluid and an infusion line for transferring the infusion fluid from the chamber. The infusion line includes at least a rotor module or is connected to a rotor module at least at a downstream end of the infusion line. The rotor module includes a rotor that is drivable by the infusion fluid.
Flow sensor system with connection assembly
A system includes a flow sensor contained within a flow sensor housing, a base, and a seal. The base houses a controller that generates at least one operation modification signal, and the flow sensor is separable from and mountable onto the base. A bottom surface of the flow sensor housing includes the seal. The seal forms a liquid-tight engagement between the flow sensor housing and the base when the flow sensor is mounted onto the base.
ENTERAL FEEDING LIQUID DELIVER
An apparatus and method for delivering liquid to a subject using a pumping device of a flow control apparatus. The method includes recognizing a pump set including a liquid container with a volume of liquid mounted to the flow control apparatus whereby the pump set is positioned to be acted on by the pumping device to deliver aliquots of liquid through the pump set. Operation of the pumping device is initiated to draw a prescribed volume of the liquid from the liquid container for a duration of time. A single aliquot of the volume of liquid is delivered from the liquid container to the subject. Operation of the pumping device is paused for a predetermined period of time before delivering another single aliquot of the volume of liquid from the liquid container to the subject.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLUID DELIVERY
A system for at least partial closed-loop control of a medical condition is disclosed. The system includes at least one medical fluid pump. The medical fluid pump including a sensor for determining the volume of fluid pumped by the pump. Also, at least one continuous analyte monitor, and a controller. The controller is in communication with the medical fluid pump and the at least one continuous analyte monitor. The controller includes a processor. The processor includes instructions for delivery of medical fluid based at least on data received from the at least one continuous analyte monitor.
INFUSION CONTROLLER USING INLINE FEEDBACK THROUGH INTEGRAL FLOW MEASUREMENT IN TUBING
An administration set, system, and method for administering an infusion fluid for delivering an infusion fluid into a patients anatomic space includes an infusion fluid path having a first portion to connect with a source of the infusion fluid and a second portion to deliver the infusion fluid into the patients anatomic space; and a flow rate sensor disposed in the infusion fluid path between the first and second portion to determine a flow rate measurement of the infusion fluid and to generate a signal indicative of the flow rate measurement to control the flow rate of the infusion fluid through the fluid path.
Reed switch detection for IV pump tube calibration
A system and method for calibrating an IV pump infusion system tube comprises a fluid source, an infusion system comprising, an IV pump, a drive unit, a chamber with known constant volume, a control unit, and IV tubing with a known inner diameter tolerance, and a switch and magnetic floating object. The system administers medicinal fluid, calculates the flow rate of the medicinal fluid in the chamber by measuring the time the switch is activated as medicinal fluid rises in the chamber, compares the calculated flow rate with a set flow rate of the IV pump input in the control unit prior to infusion, and adjusts the IV pump and flow rate based on the compared deviations for more accurate delivery to a patient. This configuration may provide a more precise delivery rate of medicinal fluid, preventing harm to the patient and waste of medicine.
DEVICES METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR WIRELESS CONTROL OF MEDICAL DEVICES
A medical device system. The system includes a first medical device, a first remote interface, and a second remote interface in communication with the first remote interface and the first medical device, wherein the first medical device sends a command to the first medical device through the second remote interface, and wherein when the second remote interface receives the command, the command must be confirmed by the second remote interface before the command is send by the second remote interface to the first medical device.
Apparatus, system and method for fluid delivery
A filling aid. The filling aid includes a locking portion including a groove feature; and a locking feature having a locked and an unlocked position; and a filling syringe holder slidably attached to the locking portion, the filling syringe holder including a filling needle cradle portion having a tongue feature; and a needle housing portion comprising at least one tab having a starting position and a filling position, wherein the groove feature configured to accommodate the tongue feature, and wherein the locking feature interact with the filling syringe holder wherein when the locking feature moves from the locked position to the unlocked position the needle housing portion moves from the starting position to the filling position.
