An on-load tap changer is for uninterrupted diverter switch operation. The on-load tap changer includes: a first module having a first module shaft; and a second module having a second module shaft. The first module shaft is configured to actuate the first module. The second module shaft is configured to actuate the second module. The first module shaft and the second module shaft are mechanically coupled to one another in such a way that the first module shaft is configured to drive the second module shaft and the second module is configured to be actuated with a time delay with respect to the first module.

An on-load tap-changer is for uninterrupted diverter switch operation between different winding taps of a tap-changing transformer. The on-load tap-changer includes: a diverter switch; and a selector. The selector has a contact carrier with a plurality of fixed contacts. The selector also has a planetary gear with a first ring gear, a first planetary gear, and a first sun gear. The first ring gear includes a first selector contact configured for contacting the fixed contacts.

A method analyses a state of an on-load tap-changer. The on-load tap-changer has at least one vacuum interrupter for switching between winding taps of a transformer. The method includes: capturing real-time data with respect to the on-load tap-changer; determining tap-changer-specific parameters; and determining at least one characteristic value for ascertaining a state index of the on-load tap-changer on the basis of the real-time data and the tap-changer-specific parameters. The state index includes a period of time until a due maintenance, a remaining service life, or a remaining number of switching processes of the on-load tap-changer.

An on-load tap-changer includes: a tap-changer body and a driving mechanism fixed on the tap-changer body. The tap-changer body includes a housing, multiple insulation fixing plates, multiple turntables, each of which includes a sheave and a cam plate, the cam plate of which is rotatably connected to the insulation fixing plate, and the sheave of which is connected to the driving mechanism, multiple vacuum tubes fixed on the multiple insulation fixing plates, and multiple transmission mechanisms, each of which includes a lifting lever and a reverse spring. When the driving mechanism drives the sheave to regulate voltage, the cam plate is synchronously driven to rotate, and then the vacuum tube is driven by the lifting lever and the reverse spring to achieve on/off arc extinction, thereby achieving on-load voltage regulation.
