CASSETTE FOR AN AUTOINJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS
A cassette for a drug delivery device is described that includes a sleeve, a syringe having a barrel disposed in the sleeve, and a plunger-stopper slidably disposed within the barrel. An end cap is adapted to couple to the sleeve to secure the syringe in the sleeve. The cassette further includes a spacer that is sized to be slidably moved within the barrel and the spacer is disposed distal to the plunger-stopper to be engaged by a plunger rod to slide within the barrel and engage the plunger-stopper. In some forms, the spacer can be coupled to the end cap.
Injection device
An injection device comprising: a housing arranged to contain a syringe with a piston for sealing the syringe and displacing the medicament, the housing having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end is intended to be applied against an injection site; a driving mechanism arranged between the piston and the proximal end of the housing; and a locking mechanism comprising a plate member arranged between the driving mechanism and the piston to retain the driving mechanism to retain the driving mechanism in an initial inactive state in which the driving mechanism cannot be actuated; wherein when the locking mechanism is released, the driving mechanism can be actuated to push the piston towards the distal end of the housing to displace the medicament.
INJECTOR ACCESSORIES
A drug delivery device assembly includes an injector body with a proximal end, a distal end, an outer surface, and a knob projecting from the outer surface. A needle assembly is at least partially disposed within the injector body. The needle assembly includes a syringe barrel containing a medicament and a needle or a cannula. A drive assembly is at least partially disposed within the injector body and operably coupled to the needle assembly to urge the medicament through the needle or cannula. An accessory defines a shell and has a proximal end, a distal end, a first opening at the proximal end sized to receive at least a portion of the injector body, and second opening at the distal end. The accessory surrounds a portion of the injector body when the accessory is coupled with the injector body.
Protective case for an auto-injector
The application describes a protective case for an auto-injector. The medicament contained within these auto-injectors can be susceptible to degradation due to exposure to extreme temperatures and light. Thus, one embodiment of the protective case reduces the rate of heat transfer between the internal storage compartment of the case and the external atmosphere by including particularly configured vacuum chambers. Additionally, as auto-injectors become smaller, portability can be desirable. Thus, another embodiment of the protective case includes low-profile cases that allow the user to keep the auto-injector with them, e.g., by attaching the case to a common everyday item.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device (100) for the delivery of medicament from a container (12) through a cannula (16). The device comprises a chassis (300), a carriage (200), and an insertion spring (70) for biasing the carriage (200) for movement in an insertion direction with respect to the chassis (300) from a starting position in which the cannula (16) is shrouded to an insertion position in which the cannula (16) is extended. A drive mechanism (400) is provided for driving the container's stopper (22) to expel medicament. The drive mechanism (400) is carried by the carriage (200) and comprises a movable drive member (404), a drive means (40) for applying a driving force to the drive member (404), and force transmission means (406) for transmitting the driving force to the stopper (22). The drive means (40) is arranged around or alongside at least part of the force transmission means (406).
Drive subassembly for a drug delivery device
The present disclosure relates to a drive subassembly for a drug delivery device, the drive subassembly comprising a proximal housing part comprising a body portion and a closure portion configured as separate parts adapted to be coupled to each other, the closure portion comprising an end face and a guide rod extending from the end face in a distal direction, the guide rod adapted to be inserted into a drive spring; and a plunger, wherein the body portion comprises a profiled slot adapted to engage a plunger boss of the plunger to impede movement of the plunger in the distal direction unless the plunger is rotated to move the plunger boss out of the profiled slot. The disclosure furthermore relates to a proximal housing part for a drug delivery device, to a method for assembling the drive subassembly and to a method for assembling the drug delivery device.
PRECISION DOSE DELIVERY DEVICE PLUNGER ROD INSERTION GAUGE AND METHODS THEREFOR
A plunger rod insertion gauge for a precision dose delivery device is disclosed. The insertion gauge includes: an insertion gauge body including a handle portion and a gauge portion; wherein the gauge portion includes one or more plunger rod abutting surfaces and one or more flange abutting surfaces oriented substantially perpendicular to a plunger rod insertion axis; and wherein a dimension measured between the one or more plunger rod abutting surfaces and the one or more flange abutting surfaces defines a maximum plunger rod insertion depth for the precision dose delivery device. Other aspects are described and claimed.
DOSE MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Embodiments described herein generally relate to devices, systems and methods for measuring a volume or number of doses remaining in a drug delivery device that is used for delivering a dose to a patient.
