PRE-FILLED CARTRIDGE-BASED DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A wearable drug delivery device that can deliver a liquid drug stored in a container to a patient is provided. The container can be a prefilled cartridge that can be loaded into the drug delivery device by the patient or that can be preloaded within the drug delivery device when provided to the patient. A sealed end of the container is pierced to couple the stored liquid drug to a needle conduit that is coupled to a needle insertion component that provides access to the patient. A drive system of the drug delivery device can expel the liquid drug from the cartridge to the patient through the needle conduit. The drive system can be controlled to provide the liquid drug to the patient in a single dose or over multiple doses.
THERAPY ASSIST INFORMATION AND/OR TRACKING DEVICE AND RELATED METHODS AND SYSTEMS
A monitoring feature, such as, for example, a pen cap, for an insulin delivery device may include at least one circuit adapted to detect at least one of a capping or decapping of the pen cap from an insulin pen and a processor for using information to the at least one of a capping or decapping of the pen cap. A monitoring feature for an insulin delivery device includes at least one circuit adapted to detect use of the insulin delivery device.
PROTECTIVE CASE FOR AN AUTO-INJECTOR
The application describes a protective case for an auto-injector. The medicament contained within these auto-injectors can be susceptible to degradation due to exposure to extreme temperatures and light. Thus, one embodiment of the protective case reduces the rate of heat transfer between the internal storage compartment of the case and the external atmosphere by including particularly configured vacuum chambers. Additionally, as auto-injectors become smaller, portability can be desirable. Thus, another embodiment of the protective case includes low-profile cases that allow the user to keep the auto-injector with them, e.g., by attaching the case to a common everyday item.
AUTOINJECTOR WITH STALL AND END POINT DETECTION
An autoinjector drug delivery device configured with a stall and endpoint detection algorithm is described that allows for variations in the fill of the drug, barrel, plunger, and other components. The stall or end point detection can cause the autoinjector to stop an extrusion process.
Transport assembly for a medicament delivery device and a medicament delivery device comprising the same
A transport assembly for shipping components of a medicament delivery device to final assembly is presented, where the transport assembly has a plunger rod, a first resilient member configured to bias the plunger rod, an elongated plunger rod holder configured to receive the plunger rod, a transport securing sleeve configured to receive a portion of the plunger rod holder, and configured to move axially from a first position relative to the plunger rod holder in which the transport securing sleeve prevents the plunger rod holder to disengage from the plunger rod to a second position located distally relative to the first position, enabling disengagement of the plunger rod holder from the plunger rod, a rear end cap, and a second resilient member configured to bear against the rear end cap and configured to bias the transport securing sleeve in the proximal direction away from the second position.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH CONFIGURABLE NEEDLE SHIELD ENGAGEMENT COMPONENTS AND RELATED METHODS
A cap assembly for a drug delivery device is described that includes a cap housing defining an internal cavity and a remover configured to be insertably mounted within the internal cavity of the cap housing and having a sidewall with a generally annular configuration. A plurality of retention portions of the remover extend radially inwardly from the sidewall within the internal cavity, such that the plurality of retention portions are configured to grip a needle shield inserted through the remover within the internal cavity of the cap housing. A drug delivery device is also described that includes a cap assembly kit including a cap housing having an internal cavity sized to interchangeably receive one of a first remover or a second remover, where the first remover is configured to receive a first type of needle shield and the second remover is configured to receive a second type of needle shield.
Improved Flow Channel for Flow Rate Measurement
An improved flow sensor (104) is provided to enable accurate dose measurements to be made with little or no sensor calibration due to highly accurate flow channel cross section. The flow channel is formed as a metal tube (1301). A sensor window (1304) is formed in the side wall of the metal tube (1301), and the flow sensor (1200) is mounted in the sensor window. A flow manifold is formed around the metal flow channel.
BILATERAL-DRIVEN MEDICAL DEVICE WITH INFUSION AND DETECTION INTEGRATED
The invention discloses a bilateral-driven medical device with infusion and detection integrated, comprising: drug infusion unit; program unit comprising input end and output end, and the input end comprises a plurality of electrically connective regions for receiving signals of analyte data in the body fluid, after the output end is electrically connected to the power unit, the program unit controls whether the drug infusion unit delivers drugs; and an infusion cannula provided with at least two detecting electrodes, the infusion cannula is the drug infusion channel, the electrodes are disposed on the cannulawall. It takes only one insertion to perform both analyte detection and drug infusion.
INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device includes a case body, a control circuit disposed on the outside of the case body, a movable part disposed in the case body, carrying a drug, and movable between a start position and a target position, a magnetic member movable along with the movable part and producing a magnetic field, and a magnetic switch disposed on the outside of the case body and connected to the control circuit. When the movable part is moved to the target position, the magnetic switch changes a status of a conductive path of the magnetic switch in response to a presence of the magnetic field. The control circuit changes a state of the injection device according to a change of the status of the conductive path.
DRIVE ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A power pack for use with a medicament delivery device is presented having a plunger rod movable along a longitudinal axis; a drive spring operably connected to said plunger rod; a plunger rod sleeve arranged with holding elements for releasably holding said plunger rod with said drive spring in a tensioned state. Signal initiating elements are arranged to said plunger rod; and signal generating elements arranged to cooperate with said signal initiating elements for providing information to a user of a medicament delivery device about the movement of said plunger rod when said plunger rod sleeve has been activated to release said holding elements.
