Dose measurement systems and methods
Embodiments described herein generally relate to devices, systems and methods for measuring a volume or number of doses remaining in a drug delivery device that is used for delivering a dose to a patient. In some embodiments, a dose measurement system for measuring the liquid volume in a container includes a light guide disposed and configured to reflect electromagnetic radiation toward the container. The dose measurement system also includes a light guide disposed and configured to emit electromagnetic radiation into the light guide. A plurality of sensors are located in the apparatus that are optically coupleable to the light guide and are disposed and configured to detect the electromagnetic radiation emitted by at least a portion of the light guide. The apparatus also includes a processing unit configured to receive data representing the portion of the detected electromagnetic radiation from each of the plurality of sensors. The processing unit is further operable to convert the received data into a signature representative of the electromagnetic radiation detected by the plurality of sensors.
Pre-filled cartridge-based drug delivery device
A wearable drug delivery device that can deliver a liquid drug stored in a container to a patient is provided. The container can be a prefilled cartridge that can be loaded into the drug delivery device by the patient or that can be preloaded within the drug delivery device when provided to the patient. A sealed end of the container is pierced to couple the stored liquid drug to a needle conduit that is coupled to a needle insertion component that provides access to the patient. A drive system of the drug delivery device can expel the liquid drug from the cartridge to the patient through the needle conduit. The drive system can be controlled to provide the liquid drug to the patient in a single dose or over multiple doses.
Medicine injection and disease management systems, devices, and methods
Diabetes management systems may include a glucose monitoring device adapted to transmit glucose data and at least one accessory in communication with the glucose monitoring device and adapted to provide at least one alarm or alert based on the glucose data.
INTELLIGENTLY CONTROLLED MINIATURE FULLY CLOSED-LOOP ARTIFICIAL PANCREAS
The invention discloses an intelligently controlled miniature fully closed-loop artificial pancreas, comprising: infusion unit configured to deliver drugs; program unit comprising input end and output end, and the input end comprises a plurality of electrically connective regions for receiving signals of analyte data in the body fluid, after the output end is electrically connected to the infusion unit, according to the received signals of analyte data in the body fluid, the program unit controls whether the infusion unit delivers drugs; an infusion cannula with conductive area, the infusion cannula is the drug infusion channel; and a plurality of electrodes for detecting analyte data in body fluid, the electrode comprising conductive-area electrode and cannula-wall electrode, and one or more cannula-wall electrodes being located on/in the wall of the infusion cannula. It takes only one insertion to perform both analyte detection and drug infusion.
BILATERALLY DRIVEN INTEGRATED MEDICAL DEVICE
The invention discloses a bilaterally driven integrated medical device, comprising: infusion unit; program unit comprising input end and output end, and the input end comprises a plurality of electrically connective regions for receiving signals of analyte data in the body fluid, after the output end is electrically connected to the power unit, the program unit controls whether the infusion unit delivers drugs; an infusion cannula with conductive area(s); and a plurality of electrodes for detecting analyte data in body fluid, the electrode comprising conductive-area electrode(s) and cannula-wall electrode(s), the conductive area of the infusion cannula being at least as a conductive-area electrode, and one or more cannula-wall electrodes being located on/in the wall of the infusion cannula. It takes only one insertion to perform both analyte detection and drug infusion.
UNILATERAL-DRIVEN MEDICAL DEVICE WITH INFUSION AND DETECTION INTEGRATED
The invention discloses a unilateral-driven medical device with infusion and detection integrated, comprising: drug infusion unit; program unit comprising input end and output end, and the input end comprises a plurality of electrically connective regions for receiving signals of analyte data in the body fluid, after the output end is electrically connected to the power unit, the program unit controls whether the drug infusion unit delivers drugs; and an infusion cannula provided with at least two detecting electrodes, the infusion cannula is the drug infusion channel, the electrodes are disposed on the cannula wall. It takes only one insertion to perform both analyte detection and drug infusion.
INTEGRATED DRUG INFUSION DEVICE
The invention discloses an integrated drug infusion device, comprising: infusion unit configured to deliver drugs; program unit comprising input end and output end, and the input end comprises a plurality of electrically connective regions for receiving signals of analyte data in the body fluid, after the output end is electrically connected to the infusion unit, according to the received signals of analyte data in the body fluid, the program unit controls whether the infusion unit delivers drugs; an infusion cannula with conductive area, the infusion cannula is the drug infusion channel; and a plurality of electrodes for detecting analyte data in body fluid, the electrode comprising conductive-area electrode and cannula-wall electrode, the conductive area of the infusion cannula being at least as a conductive-area electrode, and one or more cannula-wall electrodes being located on/in the wall of the infusion cannula. It takes only one insertion to perform both analyte detection and drug infusion.
RIGID NEEDLE SHIELD REMOVER FOR AUTOINJECTOR
Provided herein is a shield removal assembly for an auto injector including a cap remover configured to be grasped by a user, a retainer received within the cap remover and having at least one grasping feature configured to engage a proximal edge of an auto injector needle shield. The shield removal assembly is configured such that the needle shield of the auto injector can be advanced through the shield removal assembly from a first position in which the at least one grasping feature is located proximally of the proximal edge of the needle shield to a second position in which the at least one grasping feature abuts the proximal edge of the needle shield.
Injection device having an improved syringe cap removal
An assistance device for assisting in operation of an injection syringe including a syringe body carrying an injection needle covered with a protective cap. The assistance device includes a support for housing the syringe body, and a removal device for removing the protective cap, having a gripping member to be maneuvered by a user to remove this protective cap from the injection needle, and at least one extractor cooperating with the protective cap during removal of the protective cap. The removal device also has complementary members for controlling the extractor, which can be moved relative to each other in a relative engagement movement, to move the extractor between a reference configuration retracted relative to the protective cap and a cooperation configuration cooperating with the protective cap.
