Rupture resistant relay

A rupture resistant relay. The relay has an outer housing with contacts extending through the outer housing. An outer core is positioned in the outer housing. A cover member is provided on the outer core. The cover member and the outer core encapsulate an interior chamber. A support member extends over the cover member. The support member is integrally attached to the outer core. The cover member prevents components the cover member and components of the interior chamber from projecting out of the envelope of the outer housing when an explosion occurs in the interior chamber.

TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT SWITCH

A temperature-dependent switch with a housing, which comprises a cover part having an upper side and a lower part having a raised peripheral wall, the upper section of which is bent onto the upper side of the cover part and thereby holds the cover part on the lower part, wherein two contact surfaces are provided outside at the housing and a switching mechanism is arranged in the housing, wherein the switching mechanism is configured to switch, depending on its temperature, between a closed state, in which the switching mechanism establishes an electrically conductive connection between the two contact surfaces, and an open state, in which the switching mechanism interrupts the electrically conductive connection between the two contact surfaces. A sealing ring is arranged on the upper side of the cover part, which sealing ring is in sealing contact with the bent upper section of the wall.

Switch device

In a switch device, a switch part is turned ON/OFF by operation of an operating knob housed in a recessed part of a panel so that a movable terminal and a fixed terminal are in contact or are separated. An outside face, opposing an inner peripheral face of the recessed part of the panel, of the operating knob is an inclined face that is inclined inward of the operating knob in going downward. A gap that widens in going downward is formed between the outside face of the operating knob and the inner peripheral face of the recessed part of the panel. Accordingly, the device can ensure stable operation of the operating knob by discharging, from the gap between the panel and the operating knob, liquid that has entered the gap, and that can improve the appearance.

Method for sealed fuse holder with ISO micro relay

A novel electrical box to house one or more ISO micro relays, is adapted to support IP67 and IP69K Ingress Protection ratings. The housing of the electrical box is molded with blade sockets that correspond to blade positions of the ISO micro relay. The housing is also molded with terminal seats and cylindrical openings which vary, depending on the blade socket, enabling terminals of different sizes, orientations, and positions relative to the respective blades, to be easily inserted into the back of the housing. The resulting position of the terminals ensures that electrical connections to the ISO micro relay are made and ingress protection of components inside the electrical box is ensured.

Active metal fuses for DC-EOS and surge protection

An electronic device includes an input, an output, a metal fuse, a resistor, a heat control transistor, and a heat controller. The metal fuse is coupled between the input and the output. The resistor is coupled between the metal fuse and the heat control transistor. The heat control transistor is coupled between the resistor and a reference terminal of the electronic device, and the heat controller is configured to control a heater current of the heat control transistor.
