Childproof Light Switch Cover Apparatus

A childproof light switch cover apparatus for preventing a child from accessing a light switch includes a cover plate configured to engage a standard light switch box. The cover plate has a switch aperture extending therethrough that is dimensioned to receive a switch of the standard light switch box. A tubular extension is coupled to the cover plate around the switch aperture. A locking tab is coupled to a sidewall of the extension adjacent an outer threaded portion of the extension. A cap has a main portion and a flanged bottom portion. The cap is threadingly engageable with the outer threaded portion of the extension and the flanged bottom portion is selectively engageable with the locking tab to prevent the cap from rotating to disengage from the extension. The locking tab is substantially flexible to be depressed and to allow the cap to rotate freely.

A change-over switch includes a swing member configured to swing in response to an operation from the outside, a contact member configured to swing about the swing axis identical to the axis of the swing member and including a plurality of movable contacts extending in different directions, and a substrate on which a fixed contact is formed, the fixed contact configured to contact the plurality of movable contacts of the contact member. In the change-over switch, the movable contact that contacts the fixed contact formed on the substrate is changed over by swinging of the contact member in conjunction with swinging of the swing member. A switch device includes a power source switch configured to open and close a circuit which supplies electric power to a power load, and a change-over switch configured to change over electric power supplied to the power load.

A handlebar switch device for a saddled vehicle is provided in which a handlebar switch case and a handlebar grip that is disposed on an outside in a vehicle width direction of the handlebar switch case are mounted on a handlebar forming part of a steering handle. This enables a sub switch case to be additionally disposed without impairing the ease of operation of a switch of the handlebar switch case.

TOOL WITH WIRELESS SWITCH

An electric tool is provided with a second switch that is actuated in order for the tool to be used. The second switch is on a second handle that is grasped by the operator with a different hand than the hand that actuates the main trigger switch. Communication between the second switch and the tool occurs with a wireless signal indicating that the second switch has been actuated.
