AUTOINJECTOR
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing, a container assembly, a needle assembly and a driver assembly. The container assembly includes a medicament container having an interior containing a medicament. The needle assembly is connected to the container assembly and has a needle and an outer cap, wherein the outer cap is configured to be manually manipulated to move the needle toward the medicament container in order for a distal end of the needle to pierce a first seal and enter an interior of the medicament container. The driver assembly is disposed at a distal end of the medicament container and configured to be released and move the container assembly and the needle assembly toward the proximal end of the housing to an insertion position where a proximal end of the needle exits the housing.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing with a proximal end and a distal end, a multi-chamber container arranged in the housing, a power assembly having accumulated energy arranged in the housing and configured to act on the multi-chamber container for obtaining and delivering a blended compound inside the multi-chamber container and a manually operable assembly extending from the distal end of the housing and being connected with the power assembly, wherein upon a manual movement of the manually operable assembly the power assembly is forced to move towards the proximal end to pressurize the multi-chamber container and wherein the medicament delivery device further comprises a needle shield sleeve slidably arranged in the housing, the needle shield sleeve being configured to interact with the power assembly to release the accumulated energy after the power assembly has been moved towards the proximal end.
MEDICAMENT INJECTION DEVICE
A medicament injection device includes a main body configured to receive a medicament cartridge sealed by a first penetrable barrier, a cap assembly including a button cap and a carrier unit, the button cap being rotatable with respect to the carrier unit and wherein the button cap is prevented from being displaced axially in a proximal direction unless the button is rotated into alignment with respect to the carrier unit, a needle carrier releasably coupled to the carrier unit, the needle carrier carrying a needle having a proximal end and a distal end, the needle carrier being releasably coupled to the push button. Subsequent to rotational alignment of the button cap with respect to the carrier unit, the button cap is axially displaceable in the proximal direction. Axial displacement of the button cap in the proximal direction causes the needle carrier to be displaced axially in the proximal direction.
Integrated fluid administration system
Method and device to inject fluid into animals through a sterile needle, requiring control of fluid volume, flow rate of injection, accuracy of injection site, depth of penetration, disposal administration of consumable materials and quality control of the fluid and fluid administration using a portable applicator controlled by an external software controlled pump and controller system used in administering fluid medications, organic castration compounds and other fluids to be administered to live animals.
Spring arrangement and drug delivery device herewith
The present disclosure is directed to a spring arrangement for use in a drug delivery device and a drug delivery device including such a spring arrangement. The spring arrangement includes a clutch spring which is located axially interposed between a stationary housing component and an axially movable sleeve. The sleeve includes clutch features adapted to engage corresponding clutch features of a clutch element. The clutch spring biases the clutch features and the corresponding clutch features into engagement. The sleeve is coupled to a button such that upon actuation of the button the sleeve is translated against the bias of the clutch spring from a proximal position in which the sleeve is rotationally locked to the housing component into a distal position in which the sleeve is rotationally un-locked from the housing component. Upon release of the button the clutch spring translates the sleeve and the button into the proximal position.
Ampule autoinjector systems and methods
An autoinjector is described that includes an outer body, a first trigger, an output needle, and a first compartment. The first compartment is positioned within the outer body and includes (i) a main body, (ii) a first biasing member coupled to the first trigger, and (iii) a protrusion positioned at a distal end of the main body. The autoinjector further includes a second compartment positioned in the outer body and in fluid communication with the first compartment and the output needle. The autoinjector also includes a second biasing member coupled to a second trigger. The first biasing member is configured to, upon application of force to the first trigger, automatically move an ampule in a distal direction relative to the main body to force the ampule against the protrusion, so as to break the ampule and allow a medicament to flow from the ampule to the second compartment.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR CONDUIT DISTENTION
Devices and methods are disclosed that provide a syringe actuator device for use in the distention and irrigation of a body conduit before the use in a medical procedure such as a coronary bypass graft procedure. The device can be retrofit to a syringe by attaching it to the cap of the plunger and engaged to automatically apply pressure to fluid in the syringe. In some embodiments, elastic bands attached to the device are easily engaged or removed from a syringe during a procedure to limit the pressure on the syringe to various levels. The device may be overridden by an operator pushing on the plunger of the syringe as in normal syringe operation.
Auto injector with automated reconstitution
Disclosed is an auto injector and a related method, and a related system, for administering injection of a medicament comprising a first medicament component and a second medicament component. The auto injector comprising a housing, a receiving part, an operational module and a processing unit. The processing unit being configured to operate a syringe operational part to move a carrier to mix the first medicament component and the second medicament component to obtain a mixed medicament. The movement of the carrier having a time varying acceleration profile. The time varying acceleration profile having a first maximum acceleration in a first mixing direction and a second maximum acceleration in a second mixing direction. The first maximum acceleration and/or the second maximum acceleration is larger than a predetermined acceleration threshold.
Medicament delivery device and methods for delivering drugs to infants and children
A method of delivering epinephrine includes placing a distal end surface of a medical injector into contact with a target location of a patient. The medical injector includes a housing, an energy storage member, and a medicament container containing a dose of epinephrine effective for administration to the patient experiencing anaphylaxis and having a weight of less than 15 kg. The medicament container is coupled to a needle. The medical injector is actuated such that the energy storage member produces a force to move the needle from a first needle position to a second needle position. A distal tip of the needle extends from the distal end surface by a distance of between 7 millimeters and 8 millimeters when the needle is in the second needle position. A portion of the force is exerted to expel the dose of epinephrine when the needle is in the second position.
Needle-Free Injector
A needle-free injection device including an outer housing, and an inner housing. The inner housing is moveable within the outer housing between a syringe loading position and a firing position. The needle-free injection device also includes a syringe mount to receive a needle-free syringe at one end of the inner housing. The syringe mount includes an interlocking structure cooperating with the inner housing and outer housing to prevent placement of the needle-free syringe into engagement with the syringe mount unless the inner housing is in the syringe loading position.
