Luminous Keycap and the Manufacturing Method Thereof
A luminous keycap includes a base made of a light-transmitting material and a transparent cover, wherein the base is provided with a first light-shielding layer and the top surface thereof is provided with a first light-transmitting area, and the inner surface of the cover is provided with a second light-shielding layer. The surface of the second light-shielding layer directly opposite to the first light-transmitting area is engraved with a second light-transmitting area. The cover is correspondingly fixed onto the base. The method of manufacturing the same is also described. The keycap and the manufacturing method thereof achieve the goal that its user can accurately and swiftly use the keyboard in a dark environment. It solves the problem that the user often touches characters and/or patterns so often that they are worn away. It has a better touch, and the keycaps have a longer lifetime.
Keycap for a Luminous Keyboard and the Method for Manufacturing the Same
A keycap for a luminous keyboard comprises a base and a cap made of a transparent material. The base is provided with a first stage, and the top surface thereof is transparent. The cap covers the first stage, and is fixedly connected with the base. The cap is provided with a light-shielding layer, and the surface of which and opposite to the first stage is engraved with a light-transmitting area by laser. A manufacturing method for the same is described. Using the disclosed keycap and the manufacturing method thereof, the operator can accurately and quickly operate the keyboard in a dark environment, making the usage more convenient. As the light-transmitting area in the shape of characters or patterns is not likely to be rubbed or erased, the lifetime of the keycap is prolonged.
Illuminated film-covered keyboard
An illuminated film-covered keyboard includes: a backlit keyboard module which includes a plurality of keys that are light-permeable, and at least one backlight source; a frame body disposed on the backlit keyboard module, the frame body including a key area, wherein the top surface of each of the plurality of keys is exposed at the key area; and a cover film disposed at the key area and on top of the top surface of each of the plurality of keys, wherein the cover film includes a light-permeable film, a base color layer, a light-shielding layer that is opaque, and a protection layer disposed on a side of the light-shielding layer opposing the base color layer, and wherein the portions of the light-shielding layer that respectively correspond to each of the plurality of keys are removed so as to form a plurality of light-transparent patterns.
Control device having buttons with metallic surfaces and backlit indicia
A control device includes a button with a body defining an outer surface; a metallic veneer coupled to the button opposite the outer surface; and a machined indicia formed in the veneer and defining an open portion, a floating portion, and one or more ribs that suspend the floating portion. The rib has an upper surface recessed relative to a front surface of the veneer, and opposed tapered sides extending from a base of the rib to the upper surface, such that the upper surface is narrower than the base.
Integration of Keyboard Device and Film Structure
The present invention discloses a keycap for keys of a keyboard device, wherein the keys are configured on the keyboard, and the keycap is configured on a key body. The keycap includes: a top fabric layer, a keycap body including an upper surface outline, and a molding film. The top fabric layer is used for engraving to have a symbol thereon to transmit light therethrough, wherein each symbol indicates a specific keycap. The molding film is disposed between the top fabric layer and the keycap body to render the top fabric layer in a specific shape matching with the upper surface outline. In the present invention, the problems with the symbols of the keycaps becoming dislocated, yellowed and deformed when the keycaps are manufactured with currently available techniques can be overcome, and users can clearly see the symbols on a backlit keyboard.
Manufacturing Method for Film Structure
The present invention discloses a method to manufacture a keycap for keys of a keyboard, including: providing a top fabric layer and a molding film disposed beneath the top fabric layer; molding the molding film and the top fabric layer to form a film structure having an inner surface; and providing a keycap body having an upper surface, wherein the outline of the upper surface matches with that of the inner surface to form the keycap. In the present invention, the keycap is formed using the film structure and the keycap body by plastic injection or adhesion agent, the keycap is further manufactured as keys, and a symbol is engraved on the upper surface of the film structure by laser. Because the backlit device's light transmits through the keycap, users can recognize the symbols on the keys.
Devices having keyboards with fabric layers
Electrical equipment such as a tablet computer cover, a laptop computer, or other equipment may include a keyboard. The keyboard may have an array of key members. The key members may have key symbols that are illuminated with light from light-emitting diodes. Each key member may be supported by a corresponding key member support structure. A fabric layer such as a woven fabric layer having warp and weft strands formed from polymer or other materials may be sandwiched between each key member and corresponding key member support structure. Opaque masking material may be formed on peripheral portions of each key member support structure. Each key member may have a symbol formed from coating layers such as a white ink coating for light diffusing, a patterned black ink coating with a symbol-shaped opening, and a clear overcoat.
Illuminated momentary push button switch
A switch device includes an operation button operated by a push operation on an operating surface, light sources arranged on a lighting substrate to illuminate an illumination target of the operation button, and a plurality of switches that are arranged on a switch substrate different from the lighting substrate so as to be located on an end portion side of the operation button and are turned on due to displacement of the operation button caused by the push operation.
Control Device Having Buttons with Metallic Surfaces and Backlit Indicia
A veneer may be configured to be secured to a backlit button of a control device. A plate portion of the veneer may have one or more indicia machined therethrough. The indicia may define an open portion, a floating portion, and one or more ribs that suspend the floating portion. The one or more ribs may be configured to create an optical illusion that conceals the ribs from view relative to a user of the control device. The rib may define an upper surface that is recessed relative to a front surface of the veneer, and may define opposed sides that extend from a base of the rib to the upper surface. The sides may be tapered between the base and the upper surface, such that the upper surface is narrower than the base. The sides and the upper surface of the rib may be unfinished.
Vehicle interior trim assembly configured to form a light pattern having an emblem shape at the front of a trim part such as an air bag cover
A vehicle interior trim assembly and an illuminable emblem assembly is provided. The assembly includes a vehicle interior trim part such as an air bag cover which has at least one opening which defines an emblem pattern. An illumination module including at least one light source is configured to generate visible light rays when energized. A lens including at least one layer is molded in a molding process to have a 3D emblem shape fitted through and matching the at least one opening. The lens has at least one surface-defining portion which is sized and shaped to have the emblem pattern at the front surface of the part. The lens gathers and redirects light rays from the illumination module to generate light in the emblem pattern of substantially uniform intensity through the at least one surface-defining portion and into a passenger compartment of the vehicle.
