ALIGNMENT OF ELONGATED PARTICLES IN A PARTICLE DELIVERY DEVICE
A device for delivery of particles into biological tissue includes at least one conduit and a propellant source fluidically coupled to the conduit and configured to deliver a propellant into the conduit. A particle source is configured to release elongated particles into the conduit, the elongated particles having a width, w, a length, l>w. The propellant source and the conduit are configured to propel the elongated particles in a collimated particle stream toward the biological tissue. An alignment mechanism is configured to align a longitudinal axis of the elongated particles to be substantially parallel to a direction of the particle stream in an alignment region of the conduit. The aligned elongated particles are ejected from the conduit and impact the biological tissue.
DEVICE FOR MONITORING THE PRESSURE OR ALTERNATIVELY AN INJECTION FORCE OF A PLURALITY OF JETS GENERATED AT THE OUTLET OF A NEEDLELESS INJECTION DEVICE
A monitoring device for monitoring a pressure or an injection force of a plurality of jets generated by channels at an outlet of a nozzle of a needleless injection device. The monitoring device includes a plurality of measuring elements. Each measuring element is configured to measure a pressure or an injection force of a corresponding jet of the plurality of jets. Each measuring element includes a receiving face oriented to receive the corresponding jet.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing with a proximal end and a distal end, a multi-chamber container arranged in the housing, a power assembly having accumulated energy arranged in the housing and configured to act on the multi-chamber container for obtaining and delivering a blended compound inside the multi-chamber container and a manually operable assembly extending from the distal end of the housing and being connected with the power assembly, wherein upon a manual movement of the manually operable assembly the power assembly is forced to move towards the proximal end to pressurize the multi-chamber container and wherein the medicament delivery device further comprises a needle shield sleeve slidably arranged in the housing, the needle shield sleeve being configured to interact with the power assembly to release the accumulated energy after the power assembly has been moved towards the proximal end.
ADAPTER AND INJECTION FLUID TRANSFER METHOD
The adapter includes a housing and a filling nozzle provided in communication with a containing portion in the housing and coming into contact with an end surface of the injection device, in which the injection port of the injection nozzle is formed, when the housing is attached to the injection device. An open end of the filling nozzle is set to be smaller than an inner diameter of the containing portion and larger than the injection port. Of an internal space of the housing from a partial region of the containing portion to the open end, at least a predetermined space being continuous and including the partial region is formed in a manner where an inner diameter of the predetermined space decreases toward a side of the open end. According to this configuration, the injection fluid can be suitably transferred from the outside to a needleless injector.
Devices and methods for delivery of substances within a prefilled syringe
An apparatus includes a housing, an energy storage member, a carrier, a medicament container, and a delivery control mechanism. The housing defines a gas chamber configured to receive pressurized gas from the energy storage member to pressurize the gas chamber. The carrier has a proximal surface that defines a portion of the gas chamber. The medicament container is coupled to the carrier and has a distal end portion coupled to a delivery member. The medicament container contains a medicament and includes an elastomeric member that seals the medicament within the medicament container. The delivery control mechanism is coupled to a proximal end portion of the medicament container and includes a flow restriction member for regulating a pressure supplied by the gas chamber and entering into the medicament container that acts on the elastomeric member.
DISPENSING DEVICE INCORPORATING DIAPHRAGM
A dispensing device for dispensing a beneficial agent configured to transition between an inactive state and an active state. The dispensing device can include a body, a pressure chamber, a primary container, and/or a diaphragm. The pressure chamber and diaphragm may both be disposed within the body, and the primary container may be disposed within the pressure chamber and engaged with the diaphragm. The primary container may include a distal end with a septum or pierceable fitment disposed on a distal side of the diaphragm. The dispensing device may be configured to transition between an inactive state and an active state when a pressurized fluid is provided to the pressure chamber by moving the primary container distally against the diaphragm to cause the diaphragm to deform, including stretching a section of the diaphragm in a distal direction.
ASEPTIC CARTRIDGE AND DISPENSER ARRANGEMENT
A cartridge for use with a beneficial agent delivery device having a tillable reservoir. The cartridge includes a reconstitution, unit dose package having first and second compartments and a fitment. The first compartment contains at least a first constituent of the beneficial agent. The second compartment contains at least a second constituent of the beneficial agent. The fitment is disposed on the package for interfacing the package to the tillable reservoir.
Medicament delivery device and methods for delivering drugs to infants and children
A method of delivering epinephrine includes placing a distal end surface of a medical injector into contact with a target location of a patient. The medical injector includes a housing, an energy storage member, and a medicament container containing a dose of epinephrine effective for administration to the patient experiencing anaphylaxis and having a weight of less than 15 kg. The medicament container is coupled to a needle. The medical injector is actuated such that the energy storage member produces a force to move the needle from a first needle position to a second needle position. A distal tip of the needle extends from the distal end surface by a distance of between 7 millimeters and 8 millimeters when the needle is in the second needle position. A portion of the force is exerted to expel the dose of epinephrine when the needle is in the second position.
Drug delivery apparatus
A drug delivery apparatus including a barrel to contain a substance, a piston slidable in the barrel, a supply circuit to provide input currents, an antenna affixed along the barrel to receive the input current, generate inductance with the piston, and provide output currents commensurate with a position of the piston along the piston course, and processing circuitry configured to receive the output currents, and determine a quantity of the substance inside the barrel based on the output currents.
Dental anesthetic delivery devices and associated methods
This disclosure relates to dental anesthetic delivery devices and associated methods for using the same. In certain embodiments, an anesthetic delivery device may comprise a pressure-driven needleless injector configured to deliver anesthetic deeply into the gingiva, allowing for a deep numbing and anesthetic effect and reducing pain from subsequent anesthetic injections and/or dental procedures. In some embodiments, the anesthetic delivery device may be T-shaped allowing for a shorter longitude axis length of the syringe body, improved clinician view of the oral cavity during use, single hand and/or ambidextrous use, and/or improved control during positioning.
