MEDIUM VOLTAGE BREAKER CONDUCTOR WITH AN ELECTRICALLY EFFICIENT CONTOUR
The present disclosure provides a conductive member for a circuit breaker high voltage portion conductor assembly, the conductive member including a body with a transfer portion and a coupling portion. The body transfer portion has an electro-thermally efficient contour. That is, the body transfer portion has an electrically efficient contour and a thermally efficient contour. The body transfer portion includes a number of slots defining fins. In this configuration, the body transfer portion distributes current generally evenly across a cross-sectional area of the conductive member body. Further, the fins provide heat dissipation via convection.
Offset bus connection with field shaping and heat sink
Method and apparatus for reducing the minimum clearance needed between an electrical conductor and ground in switchgear and similar electrical isolation equipment provide a bus-connector having an extended toroidal shape that is designed to allow the size of the switchgear cabinet to be reduced while complying with industry-standard performance requirements. The toroidal shaped bus-connector has mostly or only smooth and rounded surfaces so there are no hard or sharp edges or corners from which electrical discharge from/to ground or other conductors may occur. The shaped bus-connector also has an elongated body that produces an offset connection resembling a Z, which allows power buses and breaker terminals that do not vertically line up to connect.
AIR COOLED DISCONNECTOR PROVIDED WITH COOLING SLOTS
A high voltage circuit breaker and disconnector for operation in air, extending along an axis, including an enclosure, the disconnector including a hollow current carrying conductor in the enclosure and extending along the axis. The conductor including at least one lower elongated slot and at least one upper elongated slot extending along the axis, each of the slots having a width w and a length l opening an air flow cross section. The ratio between the outer diameter surface of the hollow current carrying conductor and the total air flow cross section of all the slots in a same plane perpendicular to the axis being between 70 and 100.
ELECTRICAL SWITCHGEAR WITH IMPROVED COOLING
A switchgear is disclosed, which comprises a switchgear housing, a number of busbars and a number of disconnectors with-in the switchgear housing, wherein the disconnectors are arranged in the course of the busbars. Moreover, the switchgear comprises a dis-connector housing, which is arranged within the switchgear housing and encompasses at least the disconnectors. The disconnector housing has at least one bottom opening and at least one top opening allowing an air flow from the at least one bottom opening to the at least one top opening via said disconnectors.
