Applicator For Cryoanesthesia And Analgesia
A handheld cryoanesthesia or analgesia device for cooling a target area on cutaneous membranes, mucous membranes, and tissue of the mucocutaneous zone having an elongated body and a thermoelectric cooling system disposed within the elongated body. The thermoelectric cooling system is configured to physically contact and thermally couple the target area of the cutaneous membranes, mucous membranes, and tissue of the mucocutaneous zone to induce cryoanesthesia or analgesia. The thermoelectric cooling system includes a thermally-conductive cold tip, a thermally-conductive cooling power concentrator thermally coupled to the cold tip, at least one Peltier unit module thermally coupled to the cooling power concentrator, a heatsink thermally coupled to at least one Peltier unit module, a power source, at least one thermal sensor, and a controller operably outputting a control signal to the Peltier unit module to maintain a predetermined temperature.
NEEDLE SHIELD PULLER CAP ASSEMBLY
A puller assembly for removing a shield from around a needle of a syringe. The puller assembly includes a grip component and a cap. The grip component has a tubular body defining an interior hollow which axially receives the shield. The tubular body has a slit that allows it to be forcibly shifted from a first arrangement to a second arrangement to change the size of the interior hollow. The tubular body includes a radial inner face with at least one radial inward projection for directly engaging the shield. The cap is grippable by a user. The grip component is held by the cap when inserted within a cavity of the cap during manufacturing installation, and when so held at least one radial inward projection of the grip component engages the shield for removal of the shield from around the needle when the cap is moved. A method of mounting a puller assembly to a shield around a needle is also disclosed.

An automatic medication injection device that provides a user with audible notice of injecting progress. The device in one form includes a plurality of sound elements located on drive mechanism portion that inserts within a barrel of a container of medication to advance a sealing plunger of that container. The device also includes at least one actuating element movable axially with the container of medication within the device housing, which at least one actuating is element arranged to engage the plurality of sound elements to generate audible notices as the advancing portion moves past the at least one actuating element when advancing the sealing plunger for an injection.

The spacer assembly includes a first spacer portion received within the stopper, a second spacer portion spaced from the first spacer portion, an inner plunger, and a spacer shuttle received by the inner plunger. The inner plunger, the spacer shuttle, and the second portion are configured to move relative to the stopper, where movement of the second spacer portion is restricted by the spacer shuttle, movement of the spacer shuttle is restricted by the inner plunger, and movement of the inner plunger is restricted by the stopper.

A needle actuator assembly for a drug delivery system includes a needle actuator body having a guide surface, a needle shuttle having a cam surface, with the needle shuttle moveable along a vertical axis between a first position and a second position. Disclosed is an injection gadget corresponding to an end-effector such as a rescue robot or the like. The injection gadget is configured such that an injection needle is disposed inside an injection assembly, an injection liquid is provided between a cylinder and a piston of the injection assembly, and the piston is moved by an elastic force of a spring previously compressed inside the cylinder so that the injection needle protrudes to the outside of the injection assembly and the injection liquid is ejected, and includes a bracket that replaceably mounts the injection assembly, a main body that is connected to the bracket and includes a first body space portion of which one side surface facing the bracket and the other side surface are open to pass through each other and a second body space portion that is disposed next to the first body space portion, a controller that is mounted in the second body space portion, a linear actuator that moves a transfer shaft in accordance with a control signal of the controller, and a pusher that is disposed between the linear actuator and the injection assembly, and transmits a force of the linear actuator toward the injection assembly so that a locking pin of the bracket is deviated from locking guides of the piston of the injection assembly.

A drive assembly for a drug delivery system includes a plunger member configured to engage and move a stopper within a container, with the plunger member having a first position and a second position axially spaced from the first position, a leadscrew configured to move the plunger member from the first position to the second position, and a biasing member configured to bias the leadscrew in a rotational direction, where rotational movement of the leadscrew is configured to move the plunger member from the first position to the second position.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH A HYDRAULIC TRIGGER MECHANISM
A device for administering a fluid medicament by injection comprises a dosing portion (1) with a collapsible reservoir (10). The reservoir (10) has a maximum volume in an extended state and a minimum volume in a collapsed state. Prior to injection, the reservoir (10) is in the extended state and contains a liquid to be administered, and the reservoir (10) is biased towards the collapsed state. The device further comprises a needle (2), wherein a lumen (20) of the needle (2) is in fluid communication with the reservoir (10). The device further comprises a shield portion (3) with a plug (30). Prior to injection, the shield portion (3) is in a deployed position where the plug (30) blocks the lumen (20) of the needle (2). The shield portion (3) is adapted to move in response to an actuation force from the deployed position to a retracted position where the lumen (20) of the needle (2) is open, thereby causing the reservoir (10) to shift to the collapsed state to expel the liquid through the needle.
Auto-Injector
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes an elongate housing arranged to contain a syringe with a hollow needle and a stopper for sealing the syringe and displacing the medicament, the housing having a distal end and a proximal end with an orifice intended to be applied against an injection site. The syringe is slidably arranged with respect to the housing. A spring capable of, upon activation: pushing the needle from a covered position inside the housing into an advanced position through the orifice and past the proximal end (P), operating the syringe to supply the dose of medicament (M), and retracting the syringe with the needle into the covered position. After delivering the medicament, an activator arranged to lock the spring in a pressurized state prior to manual operation and capable of, upon manual operation, releasing the spring for injection.
