Handheld Closed-Loop Automatic Insulin Delivery System
An all-in-one insulin pen includes a handheld housing that houses a glucose testing module, an insulin delivery module, a wireless communication module, and a microcontroller. The glucose testing module tests a one-time glucose concentration of a patient. The insulin delivery module automatically administers an insulin bolus to the patient based at least in part on the one-time glucose concentration.
Auto-injector
An auto-injector includes a chassis and a carrier subassembly. The carrier subassembly includes a carrier arranged inside a case, a drive spring, a plunger comprising a ramp member, the plunger configured to be pushed in a proximal direction by the drive spring, and a ramp attached to the carrier, wherein the ramp member on the plunger in an initial state is locked to the ramp on the carrier to form a ramped engagement to the carrier, the plunger prevented from rotating out of the ramped engagement depending on a relative longitudinal position of the carrier relative to the chassis, wherein the plunger is arranged to be released and to rotate out of the ramped engagement upon the carrier translating a pre-defined distance in a proximal direction relative to the chassis.
Auto-injector devices to facilitate perispinal delivery of biologics and drugs
An autoinjector device and a method of use thereof for perispinal administration, comprising: a housing with an interspinous stop; a syringe assembly slidably mounted on the housing, the syringe assembly including a needle and a fluid container, an autoinjector actuator for urging the syringe assembly with respect to the housing from a storage position to a launch position wherein the needle travels through the interspinous stop; and a cap releasably engaged to the housing.
LOW CONCENTRATION DELIVERY OF AN ERGOLINE DERIVATIVE FOR TREATMENT OF A HEADACHE
Provided are ergoline derivative containing medicaments disposed within a preassembled, prefilled, single-use delivery device, methods for administering a medicament using a preassembled, prefilled, single-use delivery device, and systems or kits that contain one or more preassembled, prefilled, single-use devices and user instructions, such as for treatment of a migraine or other headache.
AUTO-INJECTOR
An auto-injector for receiving and operating a syringe, the auto-injector comprising: a housing for receiving the syringe. The housing comprise a main body and a door operable between a first and a second position. The syringe is receivable within the housing when the door is in the first position. The auto-injector comprises at least one biaser configured to bias the door from the first position towards the second position, or from the second position towards the first position. The auto-injector comprises a plunger driver being configured, on activation of the auto-injector, to drive a plunger forward within the auto-injector to operate the syringe received within the auto-injector, the plunger driver being further configured to be primed when the door is moved in the direction that the biaser biases the door.
INJECTION DEVICE
This disclosure relates to an injection device, which is configured to be loaded with a syringe including an injection container and a needle, or loaded with an injection container and a needle. The injection device includes: an injection site gripper configured to grip an epidermis and subcutaneous tissue at an injection site; and a main machine coupled to the injection site gripper and configured to automatically perform an injection process at the gripped injection site. The injection device may grip the epidermis and subcutaneous tissue at the injection site, so that the needle penetrates to such a depth that does not enter the muscular tissue, thereby facilitating injection and reducing the user's pain. In addition, the injection device can automatically perform the injection process, which reduces the difficulty of operation and enables the user with insufficient injection experience to perform the injection process conveniently and efficiently.
Auto-injector
According to the invention, an auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) comprises of a substantially cylindrical housing arranged to contain a pre-filled syringe filled with the medicament (M), a needle shroud slibably arranged with respect to the housing and adapted to rest on the skin of a patient receiving an injection, a releasable drive means arranged within the housing that is capable of, upon release, translating the needle shroud in a proximal direction (P) towards a safe position (PS) and a rotating collar rotatably arranged within the housing. The needle shroud in the safe position (PS) surrounds the injection needle after the injection has been carried out. The rotating collar engages the needle shroud in a manner that forces the rotating collar to rotate within the housing when the needle shroud is translated in the proximal direction (P).
AUTO-INJECTOR
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament includes an elongate tubular case and a carrier subassembly including a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case. The carrier is adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle, a drive spring, and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier, wherein the drive spring acts between the carrier and the plunger, wherein the plunger, in an initial state, is locked to the carrier by a ramped engagement to the carrier and by being prevented from rotating out of this ramped engagement, depending on a relative longitudinal position of the carrier in the case, and wherein the plunger is arranged to be released for rotating out of the ramped engagement.
SUPPORT STRUCTURE
A support structure for a medicament container is disclosed that is arranged to accommodate an elongated plunger rod, where the support structure has at least one flexible element arranged to be moved in contact with, and to exert a force, on a distal end surface of the medicament container, wherein the at least one flexible element is provided with a contact member arranged to contact an outer surface of the plunger rod and to be moved out of contact with the plunger rod when moved in contact with the medicament container.
Autoinjector
An autoinjector includes a case adapted to hold a medicament container having a needle, a needle shroud telescopically coupled to the case, and a plunger rotationally and slidably disposed in the case. The needle shroud is movable between a first extended position relative to the case in which the needle is covered and a retracted position relative to the case in which the needle is exposed. The plunger is rotatable relative to the case between a first rotational position in which the plunger is engaged to the case and a second rotational position in which the plunger disengages the case. The needle shroud is operably coupled to the plunger. When the needle shroud translates from the first extended position to the retracted position, the plunger rotates from the first rotational position to the second rotational position.
