Multiple-position momentary electrical push switch with configurable activation zones
A momentary electrical push switch that can be configured for 2 or more activation positions. The switch has a top surface, or “key” top, which is pressed down upon in different areas to actuate the switch's different activation positions. The key top can be of various shapes, such as quadrangles, circle, hexagon, etc., or irregular shapes, to suit a particular application. The key top can be divided into multiple segments, or activation zones, each corresponding to a different activation position of the switch. The key allows free-form movement when pressing down upon it, without requiring the user to use specific or narrowly-defined motions to actuate the various activation positions.
ILLUMINATING DEVICE AND INPUT DEVICE
An illuminating device including a circuit board, a first light emitting member, a housing, a transparent support member, a light diffusing member, and a light guide member is provided. The first light emitting member is disposed on the top surface of the circuit board to emit light. The housing is disposed to cover the circuit board from above, and has a symbol configured to be illuminated by the light. The support member is disposed under the housing. A first surface of the support member is shaped to conform to the bottom surface of the housing and a second surface of the support member is flat. The light diffusing member has a side surface that receives the light, is fixed to the second surface of the support member, and diffuses the light toward the symbol. The light guide member guides the light to the side surface of the light diffusing member.
Keyboard device and key structure thereof
A keyboard device includes plural key structures. Each key structure includes a plate assembly, a keycap assembly, an elastic element, a connecting member and a signal generator. The plate assembly includes a membrane switch. The keycap assembly is located over the plate assembly. The elastic element is arranged between the plate assembly and the keycap assembly. The connecting member is arranged between the plate assembly and the keycap assembly. The connecting member includes a triggering part. The signal generator is installed on the plate assembly. While the keycap assembly is moved toward the plate assembly through the connecting member, the triggering part is moved downwardly to trigger the signal generator to generate a first signal. After the signal generator is triggered, the keycap assembly is continuously moved downwardly and the membrane switch is triggered to generate a second signal.
INPUT SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD
This input system includes an input device, an electrostatic sensor, a conduction sensor, a controller, and a determiner. When a movable contact of the input device is pressed, electrostatic capacitance between a first electrode and a second electrode changes, and when the movable contact of the input device is further pressed after the electrostatic capacitance changes, a third electrode and a fourth electrode are electrically conductive to each other. The conduction sensor detects the conduction between the third electrode and the fourth electrode. The controller switches the sensing operation of the electrostatic sensor from the OFF state to the ON state after the conduction sensor detects the conduction between the third electrode and the fourth electrode. In the ON state, the electrostatic sensor outputs a detected value related to the electrostatic capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode.
