Control device

A control device includes a display panel and plural key structures. Each key structure includes a keycap, an optical film layer, an elastic element, plural raised structures and a membrane switch. The optical film layer includes a light-transmissible region and a supporting region. The plural raised structures are formed on the supporting region and arranged around the light-transmissible region. The membrane switch includes an upper film layer and a lower film layer. Moreover, a light beam emitted by the display panel is transmitted upwardly through a second opening of the lower film layer, a first opening of the upper film layer, the light-transmissible region, a hollow part of the elastic element and the keycap. When the keycap is pressed down, the first circuit contact point of the upper film layer and the corresponding second circuit contact point of the lower film layer are contacted with each other.

Information handling system infinity keyboard with hidden lattice

A portable information handling system keyboard having infinity keys with a beveled bottom surface perimeter is provided enhanced rigidity with a hidden lattice have support lines of raised material, such as stainless steel, aligned below the beveled bottom surface perimeter of the keys. The lattice provides structural support while remaining substantially hidden from the upper key surface of an infinity keyboard.

Remote capacitive interface

Computing devices, input devices, keyboard assemblies, and related systems include a set of conductive traces or leads configured to transfer a capacitive load from an appendage of a user or another capacitive load source from a remote location, such as on a keycap of the keyboard, to a conductive portion or electrode on the keyboard that is positioned near a touch-sensitive interface of a computing device. The capacitive load is thereby transferable through the conductive traces or leads to the touch-sensitive interface without having to directly apply the load, such as by touching a finger to the interface. This can reduce or eliminate the need for on-screen controls or keyboard interface elements in a touch screen device without having to use a more expensive and energy-draining wired or wireless connection between the computing device and a keyboard case or accessory for the computing device.

Key module

A key module includes a base plate, a circuit layer and a lifting mechanism. The circuit layer is disposed on the base plate. The lifting mechanism is pivotally connected with the base plate relative to the circuit layer, and the lifting mechanism has an abutment element. The abutment element could interfere with the circuit layer to reduce the noise generated by the key module during operation.

Switch and keyboard

Embodiments disclosed herein describe a base, an operation unit that moves in a contacting/separating direction with respect to the base in response to an external force, and a pair of link members turnably coupled to each other by a coupling portion and configured to guide movement of the operation unit in the contacting/separating direction. The pair of link members includes a first curved portion and a second curved portion that are supported on the base, and a first rotary spindle and a second rotary spindle that are supported on the operation unit. When the operation unit moves in the contacting/separating direction with respect to the base, the first curved portion and the second curved portion slide with respect to the base in a direction substantially perpendicular to the contacting/separating direction and in a direction substantially perpendicular to a turning shaft of the pair of link members.
