AUTO INJECTOR WITH VARIABLE PLUNGER FORCE
Disclosed is a method and an auto-injector for administering a medicament. The auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge comprising a first stopper; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod between a retracted plunger rod position and an extended plunger rod position, the plunger rod being configured to move the first stopper; a resistance sensor configured to provide a resistance signal indicative of resistance against movement of the plunger rod; and a processing unit coupled to the drive module and to the resistance sensor. The processing unit being configured to: control the drive module to move the plunger rod towards the extended plunger rod position with a plunger rod speed; determine plunger rod position; receive the resistance signal; and control the drive module to adjust movement of the plunger rod if the resistance signal is indicative of resistance against movement of the plunger rod above a high resistance threshold, wherein the high resistance threshold is based on the plunger rod position.

Provided are a device whereby, during process of a process target such as a cell or the like, localized process of a process part is possible without inflicting damage due to heat, and rejoining and regeneration may proceed readily subsequent to process, and whereby an injection substance may be introduced efficiently; and a device for generating bubbles containing a plasma. Through the use of a localized ablation device employing a bubble jetting member having a core formed from a conductive material, a shell part formed from an insulating material, covering the core and including a section extending from the tip of the core, and a space formed between the extended section of the shell part and the tip of the core, a process target can be treated in localized fashion and without inflicting damage. By further providing an outside shell part at the outer periphery of the shell part, bubbles onto which a solution containing an injection substance has been adsorbed can be ejected, and the injection substance can be introduced during localized ablation of the process target. Additionally, by including a pair of electrodes formed from a conducting material, for generating a plasma in an inert gas, a liquid flow passage through which a liquid flows, and a microscopic flow passage for flow of an inert gas, an inert gas containing a plasma, and bubbles of inert gas containing a plasma, the liquid flow passage and the microscopic flow passage connecting at the downstream side from a section in which plasma is generated in the microscopic flow passage, bubbles containing a plasma can be generated, and can maintain a plasma state even in liquid, whereby therapy of biological tissue can be effected with the plasma.
System and method for safety syringe
A system for mixing drug products and injecting includes a syringe body, proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the syringe body, a plunger member, and a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the syringe body. The proximal and distal stopper members form a proximal drug chamber between there between and a distal drug chamber between the distal stopper member and a distal end of the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature, an energy-storage member, and an energy-storage member latching member all disposed in disposed in a plunger interior. First and second sizes of the respective proximal and distal drug chambers can be modified by movement of the proximal and distal stopper members relative to the syringe body. The needle is at least partially retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member relative to the syringe body.
INJECTION DEVICE
Apparatuses and methods for delivering a fluid, including a viscous fluid. These apparatuses may include a fluid reservoir, two or more piston chambers, a manifold, a delivery port, and a drive assembly and may be configured to inject either a predetermined amount of fluid or a continuous stream of fluid. These apparatuses may also be configured to switch between filling, injection and aspiration modes. These apparatuses may generally be hand-held and lightweight and may provide a significant mechanical advantage to the user.

Described is a mixing syringe for receiving a removable carpule partitioned to form two reservoirs independently containing anesthetic solution and buffering solution and having a mixing chamber for mixing the solutions during administration, and methods of using the mixing syringe.
INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
An injection system includes an injection system body defining a proximal opening at a proximal end thereof and a distal needle interface at a distal end thereof. The system also includes proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the injection system body, forming a proximal drug chamber between the proximal and distal stopper members and a distal drug chamber between the distal stopper member and the distal end of the injection system body. The system further includes a plunger member configured to be manually manipulated to insert the proximal stopper member relative to the injection system body. Moreover, the system includes a valve forming an openable barrier between the distal needle interface and at least a portion of the distal drug chamber. The valve is configured to allow flow from the portion of the distal drug chamber to the distal needle interface with increased pressure in the distal drug chamber.
Medicament delivery devices
A medicament delivery device (100) for delivery of medicament from a cartridge (10) into an injection site, through a cannula (134). The cartridge has a medicament chamber (14) with an outlet (15), and a sealing element (16) for closing the outlet (15). The device has a housing (102) for receiving the cartridge (10), and a drive mechanism (200) to expel the medicament from the device upon activation of the drive mechanism (200). The device has a connection arrangement (199) comprising a hub (166) and spring means (184) for driving relative movement between the hub (166) and the cartridge (10) upon operation of an operating member (190). The operating member switches the connection arrangement (199) from an unconnected configuration to a connected configuration, in which the hub (166) cooperates with the cartridge (10) to open the outlet (15). When connected, fluid may flow between the chamber (14) and the cannula (134).
Female syringe and syringe kit
A female syringe of a syringe kit includes a female syringe barrel including a cylindrical portion into which a nozzle of a male syringe is insertable, a hollow cylindrical packing arranged in the cylindrical portion, and a cap detachably attached to the cylindrical portion. When the cap is detached from the cylindrical portion, the packing remains in the cylindrical portion, a distal end opening is opened, and the nozzle of the male syringe is fitted in a liquid-tight manner to an inner side of the packing.
