APPARATUS AND KITS FOR FLUID INFUSION

An infusion device includes a housing with an interior chamber sized and configured to hold at least a flange and plunger of a syringe, a trigger held by the housing, and a lever in communication with the trigger and including an upwardly extending cam with a cam path having an upper end. The cam is in communication with the flange of the syringe. In response to actuation of the trigger to dispense fluid from the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels upward above the syringe and longitudinally toward a dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger of the syringe in a first direction to dispense fluid from the syringe. To refill fluid into the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels downward and longitudinally away from the dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger in a second direction to intake fluid.

An injection device for delivering a dose of medicament from a syringe includes: a housing including a forward body and rearward body and wherein the forward and rearward body are axially moveably interconnected; a drive mechanism arranged, in use, to be released from an energized position to deliver a dose from the syringe; a latch arranged to hold the drive mechanism in the energized position; and a trigger for releasing the latch; wherein the injection device further includes an interlock arrangement moveable between a locked position in which release of the drive mechanism is prevented and an unlocked position in which the drive mechanism may be released, the interlock arrangement including: an internal blocking formation associated with the rearward body and positioned between the latch and trigger, and wherein in use, forward movement of the rearward body relative to the forward body moves the blocking formation into the unlocked position.

A drug delivery device for delivery of two or more independently user selectable multiple doses of medicaments with user operable variable dose locking mechanisms

It may be one of the aspects of the invention that a drug delivery device for delivery of two or more independently user selectable multiple doses of medicaments contained in separate cartridges of the medicament reservoirs within a single device operatively connected to a single dispense interface which may be operatively connected to a single activation button; It may be another aspect of the invention that unlocking of the user operable variable dose locking mechanism of the drug delivery device may be easily carried out by one hand operation by a lock slider unlock by the user.

A SYRINGE SHOCK ABSORBER FOR USE IN AN INJECTION DEVICE

For use in an injection device, e.g., an auto-injector of any type, a sleeve which holds the medicament chamber is sufficiently deformable that it functions as a shock absorbing member to distribute the force exerted on the medicament chamber during use of the injection device.

Intradermal injector

An injection device that comprises a chamber configured for containing a substance to be injected and a needle operatively associated with the chamber and having a length sufficient to deliver the substance to an intradermal injection site. A collar surrounds the needle, defining a collar cavity. The collar also has a peripheral forward skin-contacting surface that surrounds and is radially spaced from the needle and injection site by an area that is sufficiently large to allow a patient's skin to move into the collar cavity to properly position the needle for intradermal delivery of the substance to the injection site to allow spread of the injected substance under the skin while inhibiting or preventing backpressure within the skin from forcing the substance out through the injection site.

Auto-injector with active agent container latching

In an elongated casing, an active agent container connected to an injection needle can be shifted axially by a spring force. Auto-injectors distributed pre-filled and with the springs tensed may be provided with a needle protecting cap to ensure sterility of the needle. When the needle protecting cap is removed as preparation for using the auto-injector, a tensile force can be exerted on the active agent container. Therefore, the active agent container and needle must be prevented from being undesirably pulled forwards. At least one latching tongue prevents the active agent container from being prematurely shifted with respect to the casing, by abutting a flange arranged on a sliding sleeve accommodating the active agent container. When the auto-injector is placed onto the skin, a needle protecting tube is shifted into the casing, forcing the latching tongue away from the flange, thereby freeing the travel path for needle movement.

Medicament delivery devices for administration of a medicament within a prefilled syringe

An apparatus includes a housing, a medicament container and a movable member. The medicament container is movable within the housing between a first position and a second position in response to a force produced by an energy storage member. A proximal end portion of the medicament container includes a flange and has a plunger disposed therein. A first shoulder of the movable member exerts the force on the flange to move the medicament container from the first position to the second position. A portion of the first shoulder deforms when the medicament container is in the second position such that at least a portion of the force is exerted upon the plunger. A second shoulder of the movable member exerts a retraction force on the flange to move the medicament container from the second position towards the first position.

Devices, systems and methods for medicament delivery

Apparatuses for automatic medicament injection and methods for manufacturing automatic medicament injectors are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a housing, a needle, an energy storage member, an actuator, a locking member, and a needle guard. The needle is configured to move between a first position and a second position. In its first position, the needle is contained within the housing. In its second position, at least a portion of the needle extends from the housing. The energy storage member has a first configuration and a second configuration and is configured to produce a force when moving between its first configuration and its second configuration to move the needle from its first position to its second position. The actuator is configured to move the energy storage member from its first configuration to its second configuration. The locking member is movably coupled to the distal end portion of the housing such that the locking member can be moved between a first position and a second position. In its first position, the locking member is configured to engage the actuator to prevent the actuator from moving the energy storage member to the second configuration. The needle guard is removably coupled to at least one of the distal end portion of the housing or a base movably coupled to the distal end portion of the housing.
