Switching device having terminal cover, and method

A switching device is provided. The switching device includes a housing including a base and a switching device cover coupled to the base, a line side terminal positioned on a line side of the housing, a load side terminal positioned on a load side of the housing, wherein the line side is opposite the load side, a first terminal cover coupled to the switching device cover proximate the line side, and a second terminal cover coupled to the switching device cover proximate the load side, wherein the first terminal cover is movable between a closed position and an open position, wherein the first terminal cover is attached to said switching device cover in both the closed and open positions, and wherein the second terminal cover is attached to the switching device cover in both the closed and open positions.

Tamper resistant rugged keypad

A tamper-resistant or tamper-evident keypad device for use in secure transactions. The keypad comprises multiple security mechanisms to prevent tampering to the device, and thus access to users' private information. The keypad is made of resilient materials and contains a tamper-resistant collar for housing the keypad's connector interface. The keypad comprises a multi-layered printed circuit board with at least two internal security-shield layers comprising switch trace protection, as well as additional security layers for tamper protection. The keypad comprises a silicon-rubber keypad actuator that engages tamper switches on the flexible security circuit. The keypad comprises metal discs mounted on the front or rear face of the flexible circuit and an optional dome layer.

OPERATING DEVICE
20170316903 · 2017-11-02 ·

An operating device includes: an operating section that rotates about a predetermined axis; and a shaft part to move integrally with the operating section. The shaft part has a first end and a second end projected in directions opposite from each other along the axis. A guide regulates movement of the shaft part in a radial direction. A first regulation part specifies a position of the shaft part in a thrust direction by contacting the first end of the shaft part. A second regulation part is press-contacted to the second end, such that the first end of the shaft part is made to contact the first regulation part. A locking part is arranged integrally with the second regulation part, and restricts the shaft part from separating from the guide, by contacting the second end.

This service plug (1) has a connection terminal part (49), and the connection terminal part (49) has a pair of terminals (8) and an interlinking part (9) that is tailored to the spacing between the terminals (8) and joins the terminals (8) together. By removing the connection terminal part (49) from a power-supply circuit, the power-supply circuit is interrupted. The interlinking part (9) includes one or more thin interlinking plates (20) that are removably attached to the connection terminal part (49).

Terminal shield with integrated current transformer

A terminal shield for a circuit breaker, formed of an electrically insulating material, protects an operator from inadvertently touching the load terminal that would otherwise be exposed on the bottom side of the circuit breaker: In accordance with an example embodiment of the invention, the terminal shield is integrated with a toroidally shaped current transformer sensor, to enable measuring the current in a load wire that has been inserted through an aperture in the terminal shield. Preferably there is an access hole in the front portion of the terminal shield, which allows the operator to insert a tool through the front face of the circuit breaker, to tighten the load terminal onto the load wire. The terminal shield with the integrated current transformer sensor enables standardization of load current sensing capability for circuit breakers and further enables ease of installation without clutter in the confined regions of the load center.
