MEDICAMENT CONTAINER HOLDER
A medicament container holder is presented having a body designed to accommodate at least a part of a medicament container and is arranged with a medicament delivery member surrounded by a needle shield; a holding element arranged at a proximal end of the body for holding a neck portion of the medicament container. The holding element being flexible in generally radial directions and support elements provided between the holding element and the body, where the support elements allow generally outwardly movement of the holding element from a first initial position during passing of the needle shield when the medicament container is placed in the medicament container holder, ensuring inwardly movement of the holding element after passing of the needle shield, returning the holding element towards the first initial position to a second position, and promoting generally inwardly action of the holding element to a third position during attachment of a needle shield remover to the needle shield.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device may include a housing having an opening and a drug storage container having a body portion with a proximal end and a distal end and a delivery member extending from the distal end of the body portion. The device may also include a plunger moveable toward the distal end of the drug storage container to expel a drug from the drug storage container through the delivery member and a plunger biasing member configured to urge the plunger toward the distal end of the drug storage container. The device may further include a container holder configured to support the drug storage container with respect to the housing such that a resultant force acting on the drug storage container from the plunger biasing member is at least substantially completely borne by the distal end of the body portion of the drug storage container.
Medicament injection device with spring-assisted protective needle cap
A medicament injection device including: a main body; a medicament cartridge holder fixed with respect to the main body, wherein the medicament cartridge holder is configured to hold a medicament cartridge; a needle carrier carrying a needle, wherein the needle carrier is axially movable with respect to the main body; and a rotatable cap at a distal end of the device, wherein the cap includes a first pre-stressed spring coupled to the needle carrier, wherein the cap is arranged so that rotational movement thereof causes release of the first pre-stressed spring thereby causing the needle carrier to move axially towards a proximal end of the device.
Syringe for direct use with medical ampoules and vials
A kit for the direct use of a variety of medical ampoules of differing sizes, with a syringe, the kit having: a syringe body; a syringe plunger having a hollow interior volume; and a plurality of ampoule interface elements, each one being interchangeably received within the hollow interior volume and configured for deployment between an outer surface of the medical ampoule and a surface of the hollow interior volume so as to hold the medical ampoule therein, each of the plurality of ampoule interface elements having an outside diameter sized to fit an inside diameter of the hollow interior volume, wherein a first of the ampoule interface elements has an inside diameter for receiving a medical ampoule of a first size, and a second of the ampoule interface elements has an inside diameter different from the first inside diameter for receiving a medical ampoule of a second size.
Sterile protective cover comprising a device for opthalmic delivery
Described herein does a sterile protective cover comprise an intracameral therapeutic agent delivery device in the form of a pen-injector comprising a cartridge container for dispensing multiple doses of a medicament, coupled to an actuation assembly within a housing. A needle assembly is coupled to the distal end of the cartridge container, provided with a removable cap received within the housing will be in optional pre-sterile or no-sterile condition. Use of such device for the prevention or treatment of ocular conditions or diseases is also disclosed. A sterile protective cover comprising ophthalmic device, wherein the sterile protective cover is made of plastic, polythene, polyethylene, resin, rubber, polystyrene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, nylon, or combination thereof. More, particularly the present invention relates to a novel ophthalmic device of reduced length and diameter in the form of a pen-injector for precise and controlled delivery of different doses of a therapeutic agent by introducing a unique Pen grip for the device. The present invention also depicts a novel ophthalmic device comprising a multimode power on-off button that would also work with a Pulse mode to deliver a fixed quantity of medicament and also double up as a speed control to control the rate of injection and might be used with dermal filler.
HOLLOW MEDICAL NEEDLE AND METHOD FOR USING A HOLLOW MEDICAL NEEDLE
A hollow medical needle is disclosed which includes: a hub part having an inner cavity connectable to a syringe; and a puncture part extending out toward an axial distal-end side of the hub part, by forming, at a distal end of the hub part, a puncture index part that includes a step perpendicular to an axial direction and is visible when abutting against a rubber stopper when the rubber stopper of a vial container is punctured by the puncture part, a position of an insertion terminal end substantially coincident with an outer surface of the rubber stopper is set at a fixed position when the puncture part is punctured into the rubber stopper.
DEVICES FOR INJECTING MEDICAMENTS AND METHODS OF USE
A device for injecting a medicament is provided. The device has a housing with a container within it which can hold a medicament. At its proximal end the container has a needle and a stopper. The device includes a plunger which at one end can engage the stopper. At the opposite end, the plunger can engage a first resilient member to move the stopper within the container to inject the medicament from the container. The device includes a collar with distal and proximal ends, the distal end engaging with a carriage and causing its rotation and the proximal end engaging with a second resilient member. The second resilient member can engage with a skin sensor which has distal and proximal ends. At the proximal end, the skin sensor can contact an injection site. The housing has a cap which can reduce or prevent movement of the skin sensor.
SYRINGE WITH LOCKING MECHANISM
A syringe including an injection syringe body and a syringe handle, configured to cooperate with one another in order to ensure a locking function between the injection syringe body and the syringe handle. The injection syringe body includes a longitudinal hub including at least one female or male retaining element, and a protective sheath moveable along said longitudinal hub and able to cover in a retracted position the at least one retaining element of the longitudinal hub. The syringe handle includes at least one male or female retaining element intended to cooperate with the at least one female or male retaining element of the longitudinal hub, ensuring a retaining function, the cooperation being named locking position. The syringe further includes at least one blocker, the at least one blocker ensuring a radial holding function when the retracted and the locking positions are both engaged.
