The enable switch operating section includes a switching motion specifying mechanism that makes the reference switching motion in the reference position easier than another motion.

An operating device has an operating shaft, engagement protrusions, and a movable body. The movable body can rotate relative to the operating shaft. The movable body engages with the engagement protrusions at positions separate from its rotation center. The movable body rotates relative to the operating shaft through the engagement with the engagement protrusions according to the translation of the operating shaft. A base abuts against the movable body in the rotational direction of this movable body and receives a force due to the movement of the operating shaft from the movable body. Sensors detect the force acting on the base. According to this, an operating device having a novel structure allowing detection of the translation of the operating shaft is implemented.

A sliding-type signal input device, according to the present invention, includes: a housing having an inner space with an opened upper side; a slide button mounted in the inner space; a flexible printed circuit board which is coupled to enclose an inner wall of the inner space and/or an outer sidewall of the slide button, and which is provided with two or more terminal switches; and a conductor which is arranged to enclose the other one from among the inner wall of the inner space and the outer sidewall of the slide button, and which comes in contact with the terminal switches when the slide button is moved in a lateral direction so as to connect the terminal switches.
